I have a question on force composition. I know that Uniques, SR's and LE's require there to be only one of each such character on a force. However with the release of the new DC set a conundrum has come up that I need to clarify. If I wanted to do so, and the build allowed it, could I field both the Legacy Ares and the new DC75 Ares since only one of them is a Unique and the other a veteran/rare? Any help appreciated, thanks.

That is allowed. A Unique character is only unique to itself as defined by its set and number. You can play unique Infinity Challenge Spider-Man and unique Clobberin' Time Spider-Man on the same force. You cannot play two unique Infinity Challenge Spider-Mans on the same force.
From p. 4 of the 2010 Core Rulebook:
Quote
Two Unique characters with the same name, the same set symbol, and the same collector’s number can’t be part of the same force.
In your example, the two Ares have different set symbols (among other things) so there is no problem having them both on the same force.

1/3 right.
Only characters with the silver unique ring are limited to one and only one.
SRs and LEs are fine to run multiples of if they don't have that ring.

If you have two SR Odins, you can run them both.

he 2/3 right and you 1/2 right
Older LE had the bronze or gold ring
