I think the interest is there, so for my first game I will be presenting book one of the Dresden Files. If the game goes well and people enjoy the concept, expect the series to continue.
For those of you not familiar with the franchise, imagine fantasy and horror elements thrown into a modern noir setting. A gumshoe wizard and his allies, both magical and mundane, must solve a mystery and save the day. There are mafiosos and police, vampires and warlocks, fairies and demons all battling to defeat evil, slaughter their enemies or look out after their own interests. Hopefully that's enough to intrigue a few players.
This is my first game, so I'm limiting sign ups to 17 players. Quebbster is providing some help in creating roles and balance.
The game will most likely not begin until either February 14th or 21st to accommodate for possibly busy mafia schedules, unless a full roster demands otherwise.
Thanks for signing up. The storm is approaching.

Let me see if I can find an audiobook version. If I can, I will listen to it and sign up when I'm done. These book usually take me about a week to listen to.
EDIT: after a quick search, there are 12 books? Storm Front is the first one? If so, it looks to be fairly short.

Storm Front is the first novel, yes. There are some short stories which, in the time-line of the series, occur even earlier, but you don't need them to know what is going on.
And, yeah, the first one was kind of short, but it was still pretty good.
