Well me and the Wife are going to C2E2 for at least Saturday and Sunday.

Any tips/comments/recommendations/stories from you HCRealm'sers?

Pack a lunch. Speaking as someone who used to work at McCormick Place, there's *nothing* decent to eat - unless you're a fan of extremely overpriced convention food. And McCormick Place is a bit of an island when compared to the rest of the city, so there's nowhere that you could reasonably walk. Other than that, I'd say to enjoy yourselves. Everyone I know who attended last year had a blast (and said that it was much more enjoyable than WWC).

There is a McDonalds inside it, so not sure what you mean by no place to eat.

C2E2 first year was last year, and it destroyed Wizard World. This year sounds even better. We are going that Saturday. Would go for the whole thing if Wizkids was running clix tourneys.

Yeah, ding dong the Wizard is dead.

And I have to agree unless you like White Castle you're better off getting a City card for the weekend and hopping on the #3 bus northbound into the loop.

For those that don't like McD's there really isn't much at McCormick Center.

There are a strip of low priced restaurants but they close and reopen as something new so often I wouldn't trust eating at any of them.

Yea but McDonald's is better then the con food, and at least last year it was the same price as any other Mcd's in the city. I guess if you are going for 1 day it's easiest to grab something there. If you are staying for the whole weekend then you've gotta go to somewhere else that Chi offers, so your tip for the pass is probably best.

We went to both WW and C2E2 last year. You could tell it was C2E2's first year, and it was difficult to get to any of the panels (we didn't plan too far ahead on those either) - but it still absolutely blew WW out of the water. I heard there are going to be more panels and what not, can't wait!

When IS C2E2? Just out of curiosity...

BTW C2E2 is March 18-20.

We (my Girl and I) went last year and were glad to be part of the force that takes down WW.

We found out about C2E2 at WW when we went and neither Marvel nor DC were there.

We met Kevin Conroy (always a pleasure) and had a great time.

I'd like to go but I don't know what finances will be like.

And the weather will have a major say in what I can and can't do since I may still have to go to Ski Patrol instead of going to a fun Con.

We'll see what happens.

I'm getting excited for this con! Can't wait!

I still have something to debate though. Do I stay at the Con for Sunday, or do I go to my local clix sealed tourney where the prize is a brick of GSX..... Descisions, descisions......

If there is a bunch at the con you want to do Sunday then stay. If all you are going to do Sunday is walk around the con/dealer floor then I'd say go to the tourney. Hell if it was me I'd go to the tourney. Yea panels and what not are cool, but a brick of GSX as a prize? I'd play for that for sure.
