The Original -- Robin Trower...I guess.

I just don't get the impression that either of the cover bands were trying to add anything new to the song or give it a new interpretation - rather - I get the impression that each band was just trying to copy the original. Now, granted, if you're gonna copy something, then Trower is a good act to copy, but I gotta go with the original here.

Well, I do think the 77s did a somewhat different take on it. I just wasn't particularly excited by what that take was. Original for me too.

Usually I try to be kind, but I think we have the wedding singer version and the elevator music version of a great song.

Opeth added nothing to the original.

The 77s version has no finesse at all. Sounds like one of them said "Let's try to do Bridge of Sighs" and we are hearing their first pass. Awful and simplistic.

The only contender here, and they of course created a great song, is the Original by Robin Trower.

I needed to get some Robin Trower in these. The hook was that opeth is a death metal band and the 77s is a Christian rock band.

I have to stick with my boy Robin though. His powerful guitar bound with James Dewar's incredible vocals made the Bridge Of Sighs album one of my top five albums of all time.

I'm surprised we haven't heard from Eternal Rage on this one.

For what it's worth...the gifted Mr. T originally gained recognition as Procol Harum's guitarist.
