Ok lets see if i can explain this correctly.

Lets say my opponent has a mystic so Cypher chooses mystics and now my whole team consists of mysitcs.

But what i want to know is if i have my own mystic and am playing lets say WoS deadpool who is a wildcard, Would deadpool be able to copy mystics and also get the mystics from cypher and thus make people take 2 damage from mystics when hitting him?

Or for that matter, would my mystic now have that TA twice lol?

No because you cant have the same TA twice

I would think that you would get to use Mystics TA once, but I don't have the Magical Orange Seal of Ultimate Knowledge, so what I say means nothing.

Its basically like ok Deadpool has mystics now.. but hes also a wildcard and thus wildcard to mystics.. so his dial could show 2 mystic symbols.. I dont know it makes sense but i bet its probably not allowed

Both Mystics and Arachnos operate in a similar (exact) fashion, but they are not the same TA.

That's fine. Mystics is not the same effect as Crossgen or Arachnos.

So having your PD figures copy HYDRA works, allowing you to double-dip the Defense modifier?

You can't benefit from copying Danger Girl with SS:Illuminati and such.

Just to clarify the foregoing for anyone watching, the PG entry on wild cards states:

"Wild cards cannot use a team ability if they are already using an identical mechanic through another game effect."

The Arachanos, Crossgen, and Mystics team abilities are identical mechanically, so a you cannot gain the use of multiple of them through a wildcard team ability.

So perhaps in the PG "identical" should instead read "mechanically identical" for greater clarity?
