So, I had this thought. We have an established community here. That's intimidating. Hard to break into and get new members feeling comfortable. So, I thought (taking a page from the Homoclixuals clan), it would be good to have a thread to introduce ourselves. Let new players know who is who and allow them to tell us a bit about themselves so they feel included.

Mafia Info: I got in on pretty much the ground floor, being one of the first players here (my first game must've been one of the 5 first games ran on this site). I like to play, but love to mod. Consider myself a better mod than player.
I run three series of games. All Stars (which is a compilation game consisting of roles used in past games), Anonymous Mafia (a game played on a proboards where everyone uses a pseudonym, so that people aren't biased before the game starts) and Mags' TV (a game consisting of characters from TV shows I love.)
I also run one-shots, like Fables, High School and Smash Bros, to name a few. I have been known to create unique roles (hot potato cop being a prime example). Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't, but it's worth a try.

Personal Info: In real life, I am a primary school teacher. Substitute teaching at the moment. I'll want my own classroom eventually, but I'm not looking for that just yet. I love my job on the days that I don't hate it. Subbing is great, but I am always seeing the kids on their worst behavior and it grows tiring.
Moved to London almost a year ago, mostly because I'd lived in the same city my whole life and thought it was time for a change.
I have a slight case of OCD, which comes up in conversation around here every once in a while. Most of it revolves around an an extreme need to organize and do things in order, a need for pattern and symmetry and a bit of an obsession with the number 3. Doesn't affect my day to day life too much, but it does amuse people when they find out how far these quirks can go.
I'm also gay, but I included that last on purpose, as I think the first two items I listed define who I am a lot more than this one. That's not to say it hasn't impacted my life, as it certainly has (all three items here have), but the other two impact my day-to-day life a lot more than this one.

Mafia Info: Joined HCR 3 years ago on the invite from my old high school buddy sstralkowski. I'm not a Heroclix player, but joined for the occasional Mafia game... and never left.

I'm probably most known for taking intricate notes for each and every game, mostly keeping track of them in a large spreadsheet. I have a habit of talking waaaaaay too much and will likely be at the top of the total post count by a mile. I tend to play against the moderator, and how I think they would run the game than I do against other players... I tend to get blinders on. As a Townie, I'm a Mafia's Best Friend, coming up with outlandish theories.

Most of my mafia-partners will agree that I'm horrible at fakeclaims.

As a Moderator, I tend to run my games very "literal". If it's based on an established story, I tend to stick to the story... sometimes to the detriment of balance (see: Infinity Gauntlet). I do love Moderating though... mostly because I love to see how other Mafias perform without my chattering.

Personal Info: Like I said above, I moved out to California for a job in insurance, told myself I'd leave after 5 years, then met the woman who would become my wife at 4 and half years. Looks like I'm staying here for good. I have my first child on the way.

I'm a television addict... used to watch and average of about 30 hours of TV a week (not counting news)... I'm also a news/political junkie. Very liberal, fairly agnostic.

Mafia Info: I started playing after the mafia games became active for a couple of months. I'm not sure what exactly was my first game, but I was killed pretty quickly! But I liked the concept and wanted to learn more, so I signed up for more games. I finally earned my first win as Sailor Venus in Sailor Moon Mafia 3 years ago.

Shortly after, I decided to try my hand at moderating a game. My first was Revolutionary Girl Utena, and I introduced a new mechanic that wasn't terribly good or fun. My second game was one of the largest: Thunderbolts Mafia. Unfortunately, some real-life situations arose, and the game went unfinished until I returned a few months ago. Now I've finished Thunderbolts, and I'm running a series of SNES-themed games. I like putting emphasis on write-ups, both for character roles and thread events, and I feel I improve with each and every game.

I try to keep the games fresh and fun alternate between serious and campy games. From time to time, I plan to run a "beginner level" game, so keep on the lookout if you want a simple game to join in with.

Personal Info: I'm a lover of music, so much to the point that I write and compose my own songs. I used to post my work regularly on Facebook, but since I have started working on an album, I have taken a step back on this. Many of my songs are written about personal events in my life, but others are uplifting and motivational.

I live in the middle of nowhere, a peaceful existance that allows me to escape from the world when I don't want to mess with it all. It comes with a price, though. I drive nearly an hour one way just to get to work. Of which, I do technical support for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals.

My sense of humor is wild and a bit out there at times, but I try to be one of the most caring and considerate members here on the realms. I do what I can to help out people (which is one of the reasons I stepped back into the forum moderator role). Mafia Info: I have been in mafia since it pretty much started, back when Peers was running games. My first role was Don in a Western Mafia. I had no idea of what I was doing, but I went along for the ride. My first modded game was Marvel Zombies, which I started on Halloween. I have since become hooked and though I only mod a couple of times a year, I enjoy it more than playing. I mostly play to have fun, so I don't have a lot of wins. My mafia modded series includes Marvel/DC Zombies games, CarlosMucha Tribute games, and Mafia 101 games, of which the first was Fish versus Donuts. I have many demands on my free time in RL, so playing mafia and modding mafia games are a balancing act at best. I am currently in sign-ups for a LEGO Wars mafia game that I am co-modding with Chirocker (cheap plug, there.)

Personal Info: I am a father of three and a husband of one. I work as a Project Manager and have a fairly new job. Hence the demands on my time and my lack of availability. I also co-organize the annual HCR Member Appreciation Night at WWE Philly and usually participate in Made Members related after-con activities (like the karaoke and the partying.) Mafia info: I am still relatively new to the boards. I saw sign-ups for Quebbster's Eddie Izzard mafia in his signature and was curious. After poking around, I discovered it was similar to a party game I enjoy. After that, I found the boards and the rest is history.

My favorite role is as a Serial Killer, but I enjoy playing no matter what. I've run 3 games, but taking a break due to hectic summer scheduling and lack of funding for a smartphone. I tend to run hot or cold in games. I'm either really on it, or totally lost, and it usually has to do with my knowledge of the subject matter. I enjoy this stuff way too much.

Personal info: I've lived in Colorado Springs since I was 5 years old aside from two summers in Minnesota during college and 3 and a half years at college in Greeley, CO. After selling insurance and having a nervous breakdown, I got into temp work and it led to me being a defense contractor with L-3 communications. Been here 4 and a half years.

I dated my wife in high school for 2 months and she dumped me.(I was considerably more of a jackass 10 years ago) We started dating again in college after my best friend questioned my Kahones and as of this posting, we've been married 5 years, 11 months, and 2 weeks. We've got two awesome kids, a 2 year-old boy and 7 month-old girl.

I play heroclix, or any game really. My self-professed title is "The Strategy Gamer Supreme". My favorites are Ticket to Ride, Stratego, Heroscape, clix, and Monopoly. We named her Mckenna Ann) I pretty much stopped playing.

Chi came back and said that the Made Members were discussing why it was hard for n00bs to get into the game, so I chimed in. Chuck started the Fish vs. Donuts game and after that, I was hooked.

Personal Info: As it says above, I was born and raised in St. Albans, VT. I have a bit of college courses, but I don't have a degree. I've been married for 3.5 years to my beautiful wife. We don't currently have any children (other than Mckenna) but we're working on that

In 2009 I hurt my back at work and I've been out ever since. In May 2010 I underwent a spinal fusion surgery and rehabbed from that for over a year. I've just recently been able to start looking for work. I was previously a manager for a supermarket chain, but now with a titanium rod in my back, I've been looking for an easier job. I've been studying to get my insurance adjusters license and have interviewed for a position at an insurance company.

Geek wise, I was a late bloomer. Throughout my childhood and teen years I was more into sports, music and skateboarding. I always loved the superhero movies, but I never knew of a comic shop so that limited me ever reading them. In 2007 I decided I wanted to give them a shot and I've been a huge comic nerd ever since. I than found Clix at the LCS and I've been a plastic crack addict ever since. I recently got into anime due to FMF's Anime Mafia. Personal Info: I'm one of the few people who got into Heroclix before I got into comics. I knew a lot of heroes and villains from cartoons and tv shows, but I never really started reading comics until after I'd been playing Heroclix for about a year. I love to play clix, of course. Being over here on Pacific time while most folks are closer to Eastern time would already give me trouble matching time I could be on with times my games were open. Then I got a job working at the kids' school, which meant I didn't have internet access during the day. And I worked extended care, so I was there 'til 6 Pacific time (9 Eastern) without internet access. So there would be large sections of the day when I couldn't be on. Invariably I would get accused of something, and then lynched because I didn't defend myself. Happened often enough that the phrase "Grinner's Lament was coined."
