If I'm using the Hypersonic Speed attack to do one damage in multiple attacks, could that damage be perplexed up? Or could the SHIELD Team ability be used to give it 2 damage?
Yes, I realize this seems cheesy (Nightcrawler hitting 4 times for 2 damage each... ewww) But Could make for a good strategy.
Well One No Matter What You Have To Perplex Before He Attacks And As Soon As You Start A Hypersonic Attack It Would Go To 1 Damage. But That Is If You Are Doing A Stationary Hypersonic. If You Are Running Up Hitting Then Running Back You Can Perplex That Damage Up.
Two The Only Character You Can Add Shield Damage To Is The OWAW Supes Cause Sheild Ability Is For Ranged Combat Only.

plus, doesnt perplex only add onto what is printed on the dial...since the HSS attack isnt based on the number on the dial, i would think you couldnt perplex the damage...however, you could perplex the AV, which could help out a lot, considering the defense goes up each time

And the SHIELD model must be adjacent to the firing model when the attack takes place, making this combination even more unlikely.

I had a plan with a 400pt team of Savage Hulk, a cheap taxi (prob U Wasp) a bunch of con artists, and a vet Avalanche to set the con artists off. Savage hulk with 10+ range

Your right about the HSS attack having to be close combat, poo.
But still, perplexing zero range up sounds intriguing, no?
actually, you cant perplex range up....only the printed numbers on the actual combat dial (speed, AV, DV, damage) but NOT range.....sorry if this kills any stratagies that have been coming up in the past couple hours, but it wont fly. Anyways, just tryign to help you out......take care
