If Nightcrawler attacks someone with the Mystic TA and Nightcrawler is on his first click, does he immediately take the Mystic damage and is therefore unable to carry the hit person with his Teleportation Evacuation ability?




Extra-Dimensional Teleportation: Nightcrawler ignores the effects of terrain and characters on movement.

Teleportation Evacuation: Nightcrawler can use Hypersonic Speed, Stealth, and the Carry ability. When Nightcrawler uses Hypersonic Speed, a target hit by a close combat attack may be placed adjacent to Nightcrawler after the power action resolves.

BAMF!: Nightcrawler can use Super Senses. Whenever he uses Super Senses to evade an attack, you may immediately move him up to half of his speed value.

He still has the power on his 2nd click, so he'd still be able to use it.

Does Nightcrawler immediately take Mystics damage though?

Nightcrawler also pushed to do the move. I know that the pushing damage does not happen until after the action is complete.

Yes. Mystics/GrossGen/Arachnos and a Critical Miss are all ways an Attacker can take damage after the resolution of an Attack. Since HSS lets you make an attack in the middle of moving, if you hit a Mystic and lose the HSS, you stop your movement.

NC would take the Mystic damage, finish his movement (which goes down to 13), then take the Pushing damage after the action resolves.

Yes, and if someone is pushing Nightcrawler to attack a Mystic,

then they're doing it wrong!!!

Unless NC's Damage has been Perplexed down, or the Mystic has Impervious/Invulnerability...

Or if he had Elixir on his team

Or Nanobots on NC...

Or if it KO's the Mystic and ends the gaem, etc. etc. etc. There are plenty of reasons to do it.

Yes, but barring those very specific situations, the goal would be to keep Nightcrawler away from pushing and away from Mystics.

I hate Nightcrawler so much, I'll push him to attack a mystic that has poison on its third click, then I like to plant Nightcrawler on top of one of my own Time Bombs adjacent to an Ink Grenade.
