Can a figure with hypersonic speed move through a doorway with a figure not blocking but immediatly to the left or the right of it. Or does it have to stop adjacent to it.

So, no.... a figure with Hypersonic Speed would not have to stop adjacent to the opposing figure who is 'in or around' the doorway.

Are you meaning something like this?:

A = Friendly figure with Hypersonic Speed
1 = Opposing figure on a square next to the doorway
2 = Opposing figure
x = clear terrain

Are you asking if figure A with Hypersonic Speed is stopped when trying to enter the doorway...(for instance to get to figure 2)?

yes that is what I was asking except 1 and 2 are back to back.

Well I would presume that from the above picture as long as 2 is not directly to the right of 1 (covering the hole that is the doorway) then yes because if I recall, characters with hyperspeed are not affected by base to base contact with enemies.

If 2 was stood directly in the doorway then there is no physical way other than through the character, which obviously cant be done (at least not without smacking him one )

You can move through your own figures, just not through enemy figures. A lot of people at my venue were shocked at this when we found it in the rulebook. Pretty simple to overlook.

A would still be able to get through the doorway in any of these situations....

Since figure 1, 2 and 3 are opposing, figure A with Hypersonic Speed would not be able to get through the doorway unless figure A also was a Flying figure.

How would flying help?
They couldn't soar through a doorway, and hovering characters can't move through opposing figures any more than grounded characters.
