LIMITLESS RAGE: Hulk can use Toughness. Hulk ignores all damage dealt to him unless it is dealt by an attack and the attack roll is doubles, but not a critical miss. Friendly characters cannot use Probability Control during an attack that targets Hulk. This power can't be countered or ignored.
from 2011 rule book:
MASTERMIND When this character would be dealt damage, you may instead choose to have all the damage be dealt to a single adjacent fr iendly character with a point value less than this character’s. Any additional effects of the damage dealt (knock back, penetrating damage, etc.) are applied to the character taking the damage. Damage dealt by this power is not an attack.
If the masterminder is hit with a critical hit and I attempt to transfer that damage to Hulk would hulk be KOed, since the attack rolled doubles?
Fair enough. I was really just ribbing you guys, hence the winky smiley.
That's fine. I just don't want someone to read this and think that mastermind damage IS from an attack and draw incorrect conclusions about how it interacts with other game effects.

I didn't see any conformation on it, so I am assuming it is correct. However, I have heard otherwise and would like to be sure. I posted in this thread, because I felt this is where it belonged.
...Ok, I don't say this lightly, but House of M Hulk is broken if Game Design lets this ruling (which seems right based on the current wording) stand. I cannot imagine that HoM Hulk being unkillable mastermind fodder was their intention with the piece.

He's far from being "unkillable mastermind fodder." Simply attack Hulk instead of the Masterminder and roll some doubles; I don't see a problem with it.

How is it broken?
If you pay full price you:
1) Have to have a very expensive MM character
2) Must land exactly on that one click
If you use Banner you:
1) Must *use* Banner... including having him survive long enough to use his AE power.
Also, in either case, a player that has even half a notion of how to play this game will do one of three things:
1) Separate Hulk from his MM partner and then pound said partner into oblivion. This is easily done via TK, Force Blast, etc.
2) Concentrate on Hulk. Many threads out there already show that there are plenty of little tricks for getting around Limitless Rage.
3) Simply counter Mastermind.
Frankly, I'd actually kind of like it my opponent was using Banner/Hulk as a MM sponge. There are lots of cheaper characters out there who are a lot more effective at being simple meat shields. This isn't broken at all.
