I was looking at the trait shared by these two, And a funny question popped in my head. If you are fielding both of these characters and the requirements are met to activate the trait.... Can you just swap one for the other? For instance Adam is like ten spaces away from your Magus and he takes damage. Can you place your Magus where Adam was and put Adam where Magus was? I mean it doesn't say that you replace the character with the other from 'outside' the game.
Here' Adams trait:
He is Me, and I Am Him- After an action resolves during which Adam Warlock took damage from an opposing character, you may replace him with #20 GG Magus on the same click number.
If Adam Warlock takes damage, he can be replaced wiwh Magus. However, since Magus Trait is not triggered by Adam taking damage, there is nothing that lets you replace Magus with Adam. So you have to bring in a Magus from outside the game to use the trait.
I thought I would post this here. When Adam Warlock takes damage and you use the He is Me, and I am Him trait, if Adam Warlock had any action tokens on him would those remain on Magus and vice versa? The trait doesn't say they would but I understand they are the same character.

It has been ruled by the Deputies in regard to Punisher that you may not click their dial while they are removed from the game. I would assume that also applies here.

Just to clarify, quebbster agreed that if I have both Magus and Adam Warlock on my team and Adam Warlock takes damage I can pluck Magus out of whatever square he is in and put him where Adam was and put Adam where Magus was? Or am I misinterpreting the original post.

*Edit* I re-read it, yeah quebbster is right, you would not be able to do that.

Don't believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you! Set your sights for the sun!

No - as Quebbster said, since nothing lets you swap Magus with Adam, you wouldn't be able to put the Adam where Magus is/was.

It's actually ruled that way because of the rules stating it explicitly.
1.2.13.2 Figures which may be brought into the game after the game begins are permitted in the play area, but such figures must remain on a click with no combat values.

You are misinterpreting that.
As he said, Adam took damage, so his trait activates.
Magus did not take damage, so his trait does not activate.
Since nothing is affecting Magus, he's going nowhere, thus you would have to have another Magus outside of the game.
Even if they happen to be damage simultaneously, the best you would be able to do would be to use one. Their effects would be happening at the same time, but they'd be resolved one after the other.
Whichever one you swap first would need to have the counterpart outside the game because the other one is still in play. Now, the second one could be swapped for the one just removed from the map because it would now be out of play.
Of course, your opponent would choose the order of swapping, so if you only had one counterpart figure "sideboarded", I'd imagine that he's going to pick the order such that no swapping can be made.
