He only drops the object if he loses super strength. And since Hercules never loses super strength, he would not drop the item. However, if someone used Outwit on his Super Strength, then he would drop the item. When the item is dropped it is placed in an adjacent square to Hercules.
Thanks FishmanLT - I thought so. Do you know where in the Rules it says this, because the guys I play with need official proof. They will not believe me if I don't show them proof.
If the character loses Super Strength he/she will drop the object into the square they were standing in when they lost the power. If Figure A has Super Strength and an object and has 1 click of Super Strength left, if he/she take 3 clicks of damage with knockback (which causes them to then fall off a building) they will drop the object in the square they started off in. If they had 4 clicks of Super Strength left, the object will be dropped where they landed when they fell off the building.

Thanks.
According to the FAQ, the object is dropped into the square they were in when they lost the power. If you Outwit it, it goes into the square Herc is in.
Hmm...I thought the rules stated that it goes into an adjacent square. The square Herc is in is not "adjacent", it is the square. The rules should maybe say "in the absence of an open adjacent square, the object goes to the square the figure is in" which means I guess that he gets the hindering terrain +1 defense modifier from ranged attacks now?
I can't seem to find this rule in the official rules. I found that the scenario object can be dropped if damage is taken. However, I can't find the SS object rule.
I can't seem to find anything in the rules or in the FAQ either. I might have found the ruling in the forums here somewhere. Maybe Tsannik can do a drive-by in here and let us know.
From the Marvel Rule Book in the Objects section..."If the character with the object is knocked out or loses the Super Strength super power, the object stays on the square the character occupied."
I saw this also in the Rules. However, it is still not clear or specific about taking damage & dropping the object. But, if you read this description then you must infer that characters with SS only drop the object when they are KOd or lose SS.
In the rulebook about page 18, under Objects, under Super Strength super power:
Quote
If the character with the object is knocked out or loses the Super Strength super power, the object stays on the square the character occupied
I think the only exception to this was for the 3-D Dumpster... last I remember, when it is *used*... the 3-D Dumpster would be placed in a clear adjacent square (since it's not destroyed when used). Otherwise, it would still follow the above statement.
