Hey, Where I live there aren't many people who play this game. Also, with the time I drive to work and from, any stores that play near me are closed. Apart from brainwashing my wife into thinking this game is great, does anyone have any rules for solo play scenarios. Thanks much in advance.
My wife and I have gotten a lot out of playing games together. If you can play and have fun without anyone getting competitive or frustrated, you'll have acheived development beyond what many people can accomplish in a marriage.
Heroclix is a great game because it has those wacky probabilites that can make for frequent comebacks. The stories behind the figs are as appealing to girls as they are to guys.
That said, don't mess with teaching team abilities right away.
Don't play the game if she's tired.
My wife has a tendancy to get frustrated when losing, so DON'T do what I tend to do- I say crankily "If you don't want to play than we don't have to" like a big baby. Self-control and a cooperative attitude is a must: I'm getting better about that.
Don't get overbearing with advice, let her tinker and screw up. Let her take back moves or start over. Most importantly, enjoy the game when she wins.
Like many aspects of life, gaming has particular significance for those interested in religion, but that isn't really appropriate to discuss in this forum. In short, I believe that spiritual pursuits can enhance the relationship.
