I know there are 38 threads with Hooker in them, but this one is all about the Hooker Bomb.
Please add your experiences to the plie.
I have took V Avalance and lined 8 hookers out to either side of him. Destiny was 5 squares away with LOS. (If Av. missed/Crit Hit, I wanted an easy "do over.")
1st move Avalance Pulse Waved and turned his horde of babes into a well-oiled support machine.
V Mandarin, U Goblin, and U Moondragon rounded out my 400 points.
Once I added in Goblin's Perplex, I had 9 points to play with each turn.
This did not ruin the game, but it made my opponent alter his strategy.
Has anyon eelse had luck with the Hooker Bomb?

My friend used a Sentinel with a bunch of hookers.
I used a Black Panther, Unique Wasp, Doombot and Unique Elektra. I was able to plop Elektra down in a Bush and force the Senitnel out of starting position, so he couldn't just capture my guys. He killed Elektra with my help, I pushed and rolled SnakeEyes. I was able to move Wasp in to his starting position so he couldn't move his Sentinel back, since he had captured Doombot. Now he could only make on ranged attack and I still had a medic and my Black Panther. He decided to go after Black Panther and My medic with Ranged attacks. Meanwhile I started sniping off his Hookers. I managed to kill 3 of the original 6 and hit the Sentienal a few times before Wasp finally bought it. He only had 5 clicks left on his Sentinel.
It was a fun match, but I think a Hooker team would work better with a Mandarin.
I just start grabbing guys till they add up to what I need...200...300...400 points. Ok I'm ready.

I am the "friend" that macuserx mentioned in his post. I was planning my Sentinel+Con artists team ever since I found out that the ho's would have perplex for 11 pts. It was my first trial run of the team, and didn't work out quite as well as I had hoped. After several more trial runs of the sentinel+conartists team I have discovered the truth: It is not cheese. Cheeselord+Bullseye+Wasp+Medic+BlackPanther = cheese.
Sentinel+conartists=interesting game.
I believe the sentinel is the best candidate to work with conartists because of his staying power. Even at his 100pt version he has 12 clicks of health. If you'd pair the conartists up with another figure such as mandarin, then the opponent really only has to knock mandarin onto his lousy clix. The sentinel stays fairly consistent down his dial, and the infinite pushing is an absolute must.
Energy explosion is easily avoidable, and pulse wave is really not necessary if you're not playing a limited amount of turns. Still, any triple ranged attacker like boomerang could tear this team up. Your main goal against this team should be to force the sentinel out of his starting area. A stealthy ranged attacker sniping off his ho's is great incentive for the big purple bot to leave his home. Not to mention that an indoor map hinders the sentinel. A simple nightcrawler hit-and-run operation cuts off the perplex supply quite effectively. The main advantage I have found with this team is that it requires a slightly specialized team to beat it. If someone builds their team to beat the S+CA's, then they have a harder time with different teams. All in all, it is a challenging team to play, and it requires more strategy and foresight than one might think.

Mandarin, a few Con Artists, a Vulture and a medic, move the conartist's up slightly, along with madarin. They start Perplexing like mad while Mandarin starts sniping and controlling minds, Vulture moves in behind him, Manarin pushes a few times, Vulture hauls him out, Conartists perplex his damage way down low making him easy to heal, move him back into the action, finish the job. But now that you know my strategy Doom's Hearld, I shall have to change it, but since I don't own any con artists yet, I will have to test it using a few of yours if you don't mind.
Another idea, keep a rookie invisible girl next to one of your con artists to keep their defense high.

I was under the impression that would be for boosting a medics attack up to make the heal....but it's all good. Mandrin is tough and so far I have been able to use him well.

If an opposing character is in one of the four starting squares the Sentinel started in and the sentinel makes base contact upon entering one of the four squares, is the captured figure considered "captured/out of the game", or would the Sentinel have to capture or defeat the character he is in base contact with first?

Hello There,
I am not sure that this is a legal first move. After all, you are not allowed to attack your own figures. It would seem to me that the figure with Pulse Wave would need to at least wait until an opposing figure was within range.

The official position is that you're not allowed to target your own figures with attacks but that Pulse Wave only targets if it would affect a single figure.
That's fairly cheesy from a game mechanics POV. And what I want to hear is a good story to explain why and how a Sentinel is pimping a string of hookers
