So I just got my mits on a Ziran last night and im lookn over his point values on his card. they read:

"ZIRAN THE TESTER MAY BE PLAYED INDIVIDUALLY AT 800,600,300 POINT VALUE. HE MAY ALSO BE PLAYED AT 1100 (800 THEN 300), 1400 (800 THEN 600), OR 1700 (800 THEN 300 THEN 600) POINT VALUE."

The way its worded confuses me. The way ive understood colossal figs like ex: spectre, if i played him at his full power id start at the highest point dial and work my way down to the lowest as he took damage.

So wHen it says "1100 (800 THEN 300)" I get that its addn them to make 1100. So i play the 800 dial then as it takes dmg i eventually use the 300pt dial? So this means i dont use the 600pt dial in between right? same question and answer could be applied the the other point costs listed. I feel like im on the right track. i just 2nd guess my self and feel better gettn some feedback on it.

That's right. If it says to use the 800-point dial then the 300, you don't use the 600. It's just like it says.

Yes, it struck me as weird that at 1700 it goes high dial, low dial, then mid dial.

The judge at your venue can house rule the order of points of course.

thanx clown. ANother quick question, somewhat related. "Some of his traits have respected point costs printed by them. So for example "JUDGEMENT DAY SACRIFICE (800). does this mean I use that trait "only" on the 800 pt dial and not on the 300 as well if i were to play him at 1100pts??? I would assume he can use the trait from 800 all the way down until hes smoked.

Judgement Day Sacrifice isn't a trait, it's a special power that activates on when you land on that click.

That said, the ruling is that you only use the traits for a particular dial when you're on that dial. So, if you play Galactus at 1200 points, you would only use Fundamental Force and You Shall Not Harm My Master while on the 900 point dial and then use The Necessary "Evil" of This Universe while on the 300 point dial.

oh cripes, your right, it was a quick glance. Must have looked at the power instead of the trait. Your 2nd half of the answer shows you got what I meant though. Thanx, it makes sense now.
