1)How to define power and ability?
is that icon is a ability,
and,
the "colour number"(like charge,outwit)
is a ability power?
2)can outwit cancel the"icon ability"?E.G
3)can outwit cancel the "star ability"?(i dont know how to call that...
the ability on the character card/base with "star icon")
4)is outwit and preplex have to use within 10square?
5)finial question,about the team ability POWER COSMIC and QUINTESSENCE

is that mean the character with this team ability "would not" be outwit?
1) etc. are not abilities themselves, they do grant abilities however. For example, grants both the Flight and Carry abilities, and these are what can be targeted with outwit. I recommend downloading the newest PAC (Powers and Abilities Card) from Heroclix.com. It will tell you what abilities each of those symbols grants.
2) See above, outwit cannot cancel the symbol itself, but the abilities it grants. Bear in mind, if the symbol grants multiple abilities you can only outwit one per use of outwit.
3) The star on the dial is what shows the character has a trait. Traits cannot be outwit, but if the trait says a character "possesses" an ability or power, that ability or power may be outwit. (This is only relevant on one or two figures ATM, can't recall which)
4) Outwit and Perplex range is anything within 10 squares and line of fire.
5) Characters using Power Cosmic and Quintessence cannot have their powers outwitted. However, they can have abilities granted by combat symbols outwit like anyone else. It can really throw someone for a loop having their PC guy parked in hindering ready to Hypersonic away only for you to outwit their flight.
So can Roy Raymond jr outwit the power cosmic team ability.
I would say no, based on the wording
HELLUVA DETECTIVE: Roy Raymond, Jr. can use Outwit. He can use it normally, or counter a team ability as if it were a power. When he does, all opposing characters that possess the chosen team ability have that team ability countered.

The stipulation as if it were a power is simply to clarify since Outwit normally only works on Powers and Abilities.
Power Cosmic only protects Powers not abilities.
Roy Raymond Jr does not actually turn team abilities into powers, he simply counters them as if it were a power. Since Roy isn't actually changing entire game mechanics, and Power Cosmic team ability does not protect itself then Roy Raymond can counter Power Cosmic or Quintessence ability.

Look back at the original Dissent which used the same wording and got errata.

The utility belt specifically says that the outwitted team ability is only outwitted till the beginning of your next turn, whereas Roy's does not say so...

The utility belt doesn't use Outwit to counter the team ability, so it needs that wording. Roy uses Outwit in a specifically altered way to counter the team ability, all of the other rules for Outwit still apply, including its duration.

But then (following the U-belt's wording) does this mean they can have a character 'not use' Power Cosmic?
