Trait: MORPH: BEAST BOY: Give Beast Boy a move action that deals no pushing damage. After the action resolves, replace him with any character with this trait but a different collector number on the same click number.
1) If I give Beast Boy (Dolphin) a Move action that would be his second token. Then the replacement Beast Boy would be assigned those tokens. Would he take pushing damage?
Special Attack: GRAB MY FIN!: When Beast Boy occupies water terrain and uses the Move and Attack ability, his attack value is not modified by -2 for the attack.
Special Defense: THE FLIPPERS AREN'T JUST CUTE, THEY'RE QUICK!: Beast Boy can use Super Senses. When he occupies water terrain, he can also use Energy Shield/Deflection.
It states very clearly that the figure takes no pushing damage.

The wording of that trait, as it was ruled on the identical trait from DC75th that came out in 2010, means that the action itself does not cause pushing damage. It does not mean that you can only do the action if pushing damage would not be taken.

While this is the correct ruling, there is nothing very clear about the phrasing of this power. WK has an ongoing problem with ambiguous phrasing in their game text. (Which is partially the fault of English being a very stupidly ambiguous language, but...)
I know this thread is a few years old but I have a question about GRAB MY FIN. Does Beast Boy need to end his Move and Attack in water to avoid the -2 penalty or only start in water?

Nope. It doesn't have to end in a water square, just start from one. If they have to end in a particular type of square, the wording will be much more specific ala that one chick from Captain America who has to HSS to the same square she started from.

He just needs to occupy water terrain when given the action to use the Move and Attack ability to avoid the -2 modifier.

Thank you for the fast response. It seems silly that the water helps him but he can move out of the water during the Move and Attack and not receive the penalty. I appreciate the ruling.
