Sorry to have yet another Caped Crusader question to add to the masses, but here it goes:
If the Caped Crusader is based with a Flock of Bats attached to his base and you give said Flock of Bats a move action does the Flock still have to break away?
ALLIES IN DARKNESS: The Caped Crusader may begin the game with a Flock of Bats attached to his base at no additional cost. While there is at least one Flock of Bats attached, The Caped Crusader can use Super Senses. You may give the attached Flock of Bats a move action to detach and move on the map. When The Caped Crusader has less than 3 Flock of Bats attached, Flock of Bats may end its move in the same square as him; if it does, attach that Flock of Bats to The Caped Crusader.
It seems as if they would, since if they fail breakaway they would simply end their movement in his square and immediately re-attach. But the wording is give the flock a move action to detach and move on the map and they're fliers, so where does that movement start? If its in a square adjacent to CC and they're already "on the go" then they would ignore opposing characters.
I would say that they do not count as being on the board (similar to Monkey Joe) and their first square of movement would be in an adjacent square so break away would not happen.
But if they are connected to Batman like Horde Token Stacks, I can see that they need to break away.
I believe this is one of the rulings pertaining to FoB that we are waiting on.

I figured someone else would have asked it, I just couldn't find the particular question/conversation buried in the tons of threads pertaining to the Caped Crusader. He's a sweet piece, but man what a mess.

This was asked and normalview (I believe) responded. The thread is here. It doesn't look like there was any question on that being correct.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
