i may be wrong, and i have read the thoughts on this being Mastermind...but i think that the character may be actually loselly based on Charles Xavier's Son LEGION....anyone else think this?

Not really, i read that there was once a character who secreted some sort of mind-controlling liquid. Not sure where though. If not, he's most likely based Mastermind, Legion doesn't seem to fit, He was, after all, a schizophrenic with multiple personalities.

Mesmero seems to fit better to me - he's a hypnotist, and I think his eye colors matched Jason's - only problem is Jason's not green.

Hey, here's something else. it the Age of Apocalypse storyline Mastermind has a lobotamy scar the same shape and in the same place as Jason's in the movie. Coincidence?
