ADAPTIVE ARMOR: When Iron Man would take damage from a character assigned a relic or resource, Iron Man ignores that damage and rolls a d6. On a result of 1-3, deal Iron Man 1 unavoidable damage. This ability can't be ignored.

Ok so the question that I have is say that I have a character that is attacking Iron Man that is assigned a relic/resource. Now would I be able to roll for Impervious and if I fail the Impervious roll of 5/6 and its time to take damage do I now get to have adaptive armor kick in and have the possibility of ignoring the damage again, seeing as how the wording from Impervious is about damage dealt and the wording behind Adaptive is actually when taking the damage.

I may just be over thinking this one too...

Yes you would only roll adaptive armor if you didn't make your impervious roll as only then you would be taking damage from the character using the resource.
