"Am I the only one who never liked Angry Birds or understood what the hype was about?"
Nope. My kids play and love Angry Birds. I don't get it, either. The tabletop 3D version of the game, even less so. Go figure.

I mean, you're just shooting them at towers to knock them down. My friend had a game 20 years ago that did the same thing, I forget what it was called.

Just seems over hyped.
And nice thread title Darkstone, I approve.
I think the draw is that it's easy to play, but tough to master. It's almost like a brain puzzle for physics nerds. I can see it appealing to people with a great sense of spatial relations. There's definitely something intriguing about it. I just can't figure out what that is.

Thass okay. To each their own. I also don't get M:TG or Pokemon so there it is and there you have it. I also don't get Nascar, but that's another story altogether.

Agreed on all accounts, brother. Though I could probably learn to like Pokemon (assuming you mean the card games). And I might like M:tG again if I tried to get back into it. I just have enough nerd games to keep me happy.
Speaking of, this week on nerd night, we played clix. A bunch of ASM Zuvembies, a Zombie, and some old school horrorclix zombies against my team of Master Chief (Fist of Rukt), SoG Chase Batman (with the guns), and Phobos as well as my buddy's team of Sin, Black Widow, Batroc, and Hardball all from the Cap set. It was a good time.
