Welcome back as we spotlight another figure from the upcoming Fellowship of the Rings HeroClix set! Today we bring you a ruler of Lothlorien and husband to Galadriel, Celeborn!
Good. Crosses another essential character off the list. From FOTR, we still just need Bilbo Baggins, Elrond, and, hopefully, a Fire Balrog colossal. And hoping they follow through with Two Towers and Return of the King waves: Gandalf the White (TT), Theoden (TT), Eomer (TT), Denethor (ROTK), Smeagol (ROTK), Gothmog (ROTK), King of the Dead (ROTK), Grima Wormtongue (TT), Grishnakh (TT), Guritz (ROTK), Easterling (TT), Haldir (TT), Murgash (ROTK), Sharku and warg transporter (TT), Uruk-Hai Berserker (TT), and Treebeard colossal (TT).
The side of Good doesnt really have much support in comparison to everything that Evil has, so Galadriel and Celeborn will do nicely along with Frodo, perhaps.
It may not be the best representation but from a purely game-wise outlook.. hes excellent, imo. All 3 support powers as well as 11 AV MC..which with the limited damage now taken by using it..will be great considering he has Regen as well. The tricky part will be the minimum 4 range, I suppose.
SevenBlueSeven knows what is up, although I think it is less the lack of knowledge and more they are restricted to the Movie versions of the characters.
Hopefully, one day, they will be able to give us Celeborn, Leader of the Battle of Dol Guldur, but until then, we have to deal with Movie Celeborn.
To which I must say this dial is very lackluster, it has its uses, but he should have been given longer range for his support powers, now he's stuck on 6 range for just about everything.

Thank you for stopping there. Lol. Im all about the stories and Big T's World but some people...and Im not referring to you, trust me.. use these LOTR threads as an excuse to map out entire family trees and endless knowledge they have of all of it haha.
When I saw this dial, I noticed that he was more expensive than CWFF Scarlet Witch, so I guessed that there would be complaints about him being overcosted. And behold, I was right! Hooray for predictability!

Why would he not cost more than CWFF SW? He has a higher defense, deeper dial, regen, mind control...

Some people just like LOTR more than other properties. Is that a bad thing?

When a figure like that sets the standard, of course there will be comparisons for playability.
No range, No Mystics, No TK, Only Senses for Defense. Sure the dial is longer, but that just means another attack to KO the figure, and oh guess what? No unavoidable damage to make the attacks costly.
SW is better in almost every way, so it isn't like there is no reason for comparison.

It wasnt an issue of liking one or the other. I wouldnt care if it was someone talking about comic characters, either. .. I would say the same about them. But you missed the point, so nvm lol
Fine with me. I wouldnt expect much less seeing as he has all 3 main support powers, as well as high stats all the way around, whether its high top-dial defense, or high back-dial attack.. 100 is a good balance to, IMO.
