Finally picked up the variant Mega Man cover for Superior Foes of Spidey title. Now that I've read it, it's now on the monthly pull list!
Can't wait to get 2 and now 3.
Also going to take a chance on DC's event Forever Evil as well as Infinity. #2 of Infinity better wow me. (that and I'm hoping that TPTB at Marvel actually use Quasar in it down the road... it makes no sense that he's not in this)

I am very optimistic about Infinity, although I am still not sure whether or not this will be addressed.
For what it is worth, I think Jonathan Hickman is more open to building on past storylines than Brian Michael Bendis. I believe Bendis, the current author of Guardians of the Galaxy, wrote the stories that brought back Thanos and Starlord, the ones that did so without referring to the conclusion of the Abnett/Lanning run.
I am not clear, though, from where the motivation comes to ignore the conclusion of the Abnett/Lanning run. Was it Bendis or was it Marvel bigwigs as a group? If it was Bendis not wanting to waste time working out the puzzle of their return, that's one thing. If it was Marvel itself who decided that addressing the ending of a comic that few people read was a waste of energy, that's another thing. If it is the latter, then Hickman might be asked not to even bother.
I don't really get the impression that Hickman is afraid, in any way, of referring to past continuity or concerned about confusing elements. Based on other stories of his I have read, he actually seems to revel in generous layers of complexity.
Still, no indication yet that it is a concern.

EARTH 2 #15.1 DESAAD I'm curious to see what's happening with Desaad.
FOREVER EVIL #1 I'm curious, but the ending to Trinity War left me shaking my head.
JUSTICE LEAGUE #23.1 DARKSEID I'm going to flip through this. The preview that I read was dumb and DC has not handled Darkseid well in the N52.
AVENGERS AI #3 Book is fun.
DEADPOOL KILLS DEADPOOL #3 Cullen Bunn just knows how to write Deadpool, which is very refreshing.
INFINITY #2 I buy Hickman books.
IRON MAN #15 This has been one of my favorite Iron Man runs. Really excited to see where Gillen is taking it.
Earth 2 (Maybe... I'm not big on .1 issues)
Superior Spidey
Superior Foes
By the way, any fans of the original (Non-Rulk) Thunderbolts should look into Superior Foes of Spider-man. I know it seems unrelated, but it's more a Thunderbolts title than a Spider-man title.

I haven't picked up my comics yet, but does that mean I can expect more Mach VII in Superior Foes? I was stoked to see him join the cast last issue.
Maybe it was just a darker hue job, but...dude looked black to me. Which isn't a bad thing, it just seems kind of an odd running change.
Well in Superior he just looks like a more tanned white guy.
But the funny answer is that he actually was black for a while. He escaped from prison at one point and got plastic surgery to become black. Songbird was a little racist about it. When he got a pardon, he switched back to white, but he never really got back his most known look (With the ponytail). His looks have been pretty variable and poorly defined ever since. He hasn't even really been shown without his mask off in the past decade.
Superior Foes is really his first comic with a somewhat important role since the early 2000's (when he was leading Thunderbolts for a few issues). All his appearances since have been as a background or side character.

Huh. Well alright then. Thanks!

Infinity #2: Kind of leery of the newest swerve, but I trust Hickman to deliver.
I'm curious to see what will happen when the dueling story lines meet up. Also, really love how this issue tied into last weeks New Avengers. Great work.
It's nifty seeing two events happening at the same time.
Johns has a very formulaic event book happening in Forever Evil. Issue #1 was all set up, I expect #2 to be more of that. The Forever Evil book I've read so far (Darkseid) was really blah, and had nothing at all to do with the Forever Evil book. We'll see how Desaad fairs when I get to it.
Hickman's event book isn't breaking any huge ground, but he's tossing the action out there right off the bat and tying it into some very related work that does enhance the story without being required reading.

New Avengers reminds me a lot of the unfinished SHIELD.

Loving the DC villains as much as I do, I am buying into Forever Evil, but seeing the tone and rhythm of a Geoff Johns event directly contrasted to the tone and rhythms of a Jonathan Hickman event sure makes me wish DC could get another go-to guy for their events.
