"Your brother is what?" the Black Mask asks incredulously.

"He is coming," Loki says.

"Are you insane?".

Loki laughs aloud. "I would say crafty. My spell has bound Gotham and the Gods of Asgard to our cause. Gotham City shall be ours, we need only face Thor."

"Only Thor?" Volstagg says laughing.

"Remember, you are under my spell," Loki says.

"Begrudgingly."

"Didn't you say we had all of Gotham and the Asgardians on our side?" the Black Mask asks.

"Yes."

"Why do I see Thor, Odin and Sif standing alongside the Penguin, Green Lantern and Lady Shiva?".

...."My spell must have gone wrong somehow. Oops."

"Oops?" Fandral asks.

So welcome to Gargantua and my game featuring the Thor: Dark Wolrd and Batman: Arkham Origins set.

We are playing figures based upon those sets, a 2000 point game, allowing one 'related' figure from outside the set.

We each will play both Arkham and Asgardian figures but I will field Thor as Gargantua fields Batman.

"Where the hell is Loki?" Batman asked angrily, throwing his most powerful exploding Batarang at Thor. It blew up against his chest and barely singed the material of his tunic.

"Soon," Fandral said.

"Al, Bruce, get out there and help him!" Black Mask said.

"Help Batman?" Bruce asked.

"What're guys like us gonna do against guys like that?" Al said pointing at Odin.

"Did I stutter?" Black Mask said. Al and Bruce did as they were told with no more arguments.

Odin rs to T7 using ee on Fandral and the Bruce thug. SC is 2. Rolls 7. 2 each, a ko to Fandral. Al takes 2 from ee and Batman takes 1 after toughness.

Thor on Bruce. Missing Thor's rs already. Needs 5, rolls 5. A ko but kinda wasted for Thor.

Mjolnir crashes through one of the Black Mask thugs.

"There," Thor says, "Now I can see better."

"I hear you are something fearsome in your world," Sif says slicing through Batman's armor, "Perhaps that needs to be reconsidered."

Early indications point to this game being yours, but still early.

You've got Odin and Penguin both in T7. Since Penguin's Stealthed, and was there first, I'm guessing Odin's actually the one in T6.

But, sneaky trick time. Volstagg's version of the Warriors Three Trait lets anyone with keyword use Mastermind, to other figures with the Keyword. Fandral will Mastermind his 2 to Hogun, whose Invulnerability absorbs it. Should have done that last turn too, but forgot.

Second sneaky trick. Loki's in. His Freed by Grief SP lets him be placed next to an opposing figure that has hit a friendly figure and use Pulse Wave as a free action. I'll put him in S7, adjacent to Odin. He rolls a 3. Oh yeah. This is going to be your game.

Well, according to the SP description, placing him is not an action either, so I can still do something with Loki. Can he break? Gets 1. Attacks Odin then, AV10 on DV18, gets a 12, but Odin won't let that stick, of course. Reroll is a 10. Still a hit. Imperv is 1. All that for 1 damage to Odin.

Hogun Charges to M3, attacks Sif. AV11 on DV17. Gets 8. His Damage is 3. His own version of Warriors Three gives all figures with the Keyword Empower, so he gets +2 to his damage from his buddies. 5 to Sif.

Loki Masterminds to Robin. Note that his SP gives him PC and Shape Change with a special twist.

"Hello Father. Did you miss me?" Loki said, appearing in a flash of light and sticking a dagger into Odin's gut.

"Have you no honor at all, Loki?" Odin asked, barely seeming to feel the wound.

"Really? After all this time, you can still ask me that?" Loki sneered.

"Is it any wonder why I am called 'The Grim' when I seem constantly forced to hurt those close to me?" Hogun asked, attacking Sif.

"You always were too tender hearted, my friend," Volstagg said.

"Loki's surrounded! I'm going to go help him," Robin said.

"Robin! Wait!" Batman barked, but too late to stop his sidekick.

"Wauk, well, well, if it isn't the Boy Wonder," Penguin said. "Christmas is coming early this year."

Penguin outwits Loki's pc/sc sp.

A little trick of my own, I suppose. Sif pushes against Batman. A 9hits, rolls 5.

Sif is replaced her the other Sif. She attacks Batman. Needs 7, rolls 10. He can protected now.

Rockhopper to T8 makes Loki's 17.

Penguin on Loki. Needs 7, rolls 10. SS is 5.

Shiva charges to T8 attacking Loki. Needs 6, rolls 11. SS is 1; 3 to him.
