So I noticed that HeroTrays has a tray for Flight Path now. Maybe it's old, but I just saw it. I might pick one up to help reduce some of the time between games. I've been meaning to get one for clix, so maybe I'll get one of each.
Though maybe I would recommend they adjust the design a little for more tokens and fewer ships, since it's rare for a list to go over 3-4 ships.

John told ne he is already working on a modification to the trays. I'm not sure what the time frame for getting that done might be (with the holidays and all fast approaching).

I don't own one, so I'm not sure how long they are, but if they could be accommodated to include the movement tokens and rangefinder without being too unwieldy that would make them perfect. A long grove along one side.

I *think* that was the general idea behind the potential changes...or, at least, that's what I got out of the discussion he and I had about it a couple of weeks ago. I could be off however.
I've let him know that this thread is here and I'm sure he'll pop in when he gets the time.

Would be nice to have a bigger tray that could hold the movement templates, but I think that would make it as big as a Plano box at that point.
I have scene some builds recently for aw have 6 ship builds, and with the tray he has as is it would be possible to get those on.
The "dice tray" seems a tad small as both games require multiple dice, but that can be adjusted in future versions.
I have two trays from Gencon I bought and rarely use them now, but I do love the quality of them. I just always forget them at home!

I use one for HeroClix and I keep it velcroed to the back of my carry box. That way I can just pull it off when I need it and store it with the rest of my stuff when I don't
As far as the dice go, I'm probably going to be using card protector sheets for the cards, so that'll free the card slot up for dice.
The advantage of the tray over using the plano box is that hopefully it's less of a balancing act when you're walking, because of the slots. Or less of opening and closing a box, depending on how you do it.
It's all just so damned awkward.
Velcro is a good idea. I've also heard of people using velcro to attach folders to the carry case, for stuff like the rule book and planet tokens.
I got a large tackle off a friend with a clear blue top that has slots where I put my ships. In the bottome I have a sections I use for cards, one for tokens for the ships and a spot for my utility tokens and damage cards. The rules and planets sit on top of the cards. The only thing I can't fit in it is the DS9 card and the full size one when I get it. I hope it has a cool case of some sort because I will carry it when I can.

Are they just made to go around from tables to tables in tournament or something you can use with some other boxes to transport i would not know of yet ?

They are just for transporting from table to table. Unless you find a storage case that you could fit this in the bottom of, and then put the ships in it, and carry it around that way.
I have read about people using Velcro on the outside of their storage/plano type storage cases and attaching the Herotrays to it. Then removing it during a tourney and carrying it from table to table. Have yet to hear of someone finding a storage case that you could slip the tray into and keep the figs on it while transporting.
