and on the same click his has RCE

my question is if he used RCE on the first attack, would the modifiers stay in effect for the 2nd attack? RCE doesnt say anything about how long the modifiers last. i cant see why not if on the first attack he used RCE for a +1 to attack and damage, hits, then gets to use sidestep and make a 2nd attack with an additional +1 to attack and damage

Considering modification of stats last until the beginning of your next turn I don't see why not. So it seems his rce modifications combo with his specials stat increase as well....

When no duration is specified for a modifier, it lasts on as long as the activating condition. RCE has no duration specified, so the modifier for RCE only lasts for the duration of the power action that activated it.

The second attack from this special power occurs after actions resolve. RCE is no longer modifying anything.

Yes but he's getting a free action to activate another ranged combat attack. Couldn't he just activate range combat expert again?

No, RCE is a power action and the free action he's allowed to take is a ranged combat attack.

Won't he get a -1 to his damage when making the 2nd attack? I thought that was a new rule when a character makes a 2nd attack in a turn. I may be wrong tho...

Yes to the -1 to damage but the special puts it up +1 so it stays

Can you use a perplex on Crossbones after the first action resolves, but before the second action takes place? This came up and I argued the the perplex would have had to happen before the entire "I shot Captain America - You're Next" power was activated.

I don't think you can split these 2 actions, so you would need to perplex either before or after. If you did it before, you would have it through both attacks..... Why would you want to wait to use it anyway?

After he uses Sidestep and actions resolve, he may make another ranged combat attack against a different opposing character.

From the Player's Guide:

When a power or other game effect causes something to happen "after using it" then the triggered effect occurs after actions resolve.

I would say you couldn't take any actions between resolving the Sidestep and making the granted Ranged Combat Action.

The person I was playing forgot to use his Perplex and tried to sneak it in there.
