So, we've established Close Combat Expert cannot be used with ANY power, right?
Perplex may not be used on a character using CCE. Not even for range. Okay.
Superman Enemies that gain Outwit may not use their Outwit then attack with CCE. Okay.
What about Willpower? Batman and Wonder Woman both can have Willpower and CCE at the same time. So, if you are pushing Batman when he is using Willpower, does that mean you can't use CCE? Or can you use CCE, but suffer the click of pushing?
I would say you must either suffer the click, or choose not to use CCE. I say that for two reasons: 1) Willpower is meant to protect damaging the character from multiple attacks, meaning it can be used with an attack. 2) Simply because it would be grossly unfair to allow this instance of CCE and disallow all the others.

You are correct. If you use CCE you will suffer the push click. If you don't then you can use the willpower.
WEll, ####it... that exact move cost me a match at this weeks tournament. A guy pushed Batman (using Willpower to avoid a push click) and rolled double sixes, including CCE, giving him 5 clicks of damage to my Blastaar, killing him. Of course, Batman was toast otherwise, unless I had the worst roll saved for then. But, at least I'll be on the lookout for that next time.
Tell me what you think is worse?
The Don yellin out "This is my turf!"
Or the fact you don't know what to do
When you finally realize that "Dusk is upon you!"
Don't be so down on the RCE/CCE restrictions. Fun/exciting games are all about making choices and taking chances.
Do I turn off Willpower to inflict extra damage but take a click?
Do I keep Willpower to do normal damage but stay healthy?
Would the extra damage KO my target or would it leave me too weak on the next round?
I love torturing myself with what-ifs & scenarios and wondering if I'm making the right move (I usually don't! :knockedou ).
