What happens when WizKids sends HeroClix fan Scott Porter a case of Deadpool? We get spoilers! Check out the official video review with details of what he pulled from the brick he opened, plus more!
All Deadpool Corps figures are packed with a specific word balloon. ("I'm going to lick your hand!")
The brick he opened contained a complete set of Deadpool Corps figures. Maybe by chance, but it seems pretty likely since they're mostly common and uncommon.
Spider-Bots (Mk I and Mk II) take up slots as figures in the boosters, much like Toyman's Toys, but neither comes with Superior Spider-Man.
Thanks to Scott (Iceman425 here on Realms) for the video and additional information, and throw some rep his way!
And if you're in some way thinking, "that guy's familiar?" Well, if you haven't been drinking and playing HeroClix with him (2008 champion), it could also be from Friday Night Lights, The Good Wife, or as the voice of Cyclops in animated versions of the X-Men.
Side question: if he won at GenCon, and he chose to make a Cyclops figure, would he actually appear on the sculpt as Cyclops?
ZOMBIE HUNGER When [this character] damages an opposing character, place a Food token on this card if there are less than 5 Food tokens. When [this character] would be KO'd by an opponent's attack turn to its first KO click, remove all Food tokens from this card, and heal it that many clicks.
ZOMBIE INFECTION When [this character] damages an opposing character, give that character a Virus token if has less than 5 Virus tokens. When an opposing character is KO'd by [this character], you may add it to your force, turn to its first KO click, remove all of its Virus tokens and heal it that many clicks.
Is this the norm? I think this isnt very sportsmanlike.
You managed to miss all the posts about Superman and the Legion of Super Heroes?
It's not completely uncommon for there to be a character or two who manages to appear in the art but doesn't quite make it into the boosters. But, since there's 8 chases, and I think 9 characters in the box art, it isn't a huge discrepancy. At least not as big as when it was thought there were only 4 chases.
How was the process of selection of Wizkids to choose who they give the brick and the chases. Maybe they can establish some sort of competion or raffle to pick the one with the privilege to be the first to open a brick of an incoming set of heroclix
They used existing art for the back of the box, I'm pretty sure.
That's usually the reason. I wasn't sure if it was pre-existing art, but it looked like it probably was.

WizKids themselves posted the videos. I'm guessing they asked Scott to do it because he's a professional actor, in addition to being a long time fan of HeroClix. He also had the knowledge and connections to put together a professional looking video.
I know I'm hoping this becomes a regular thing he does for them.
Was watching the video and my fiancé said that he is also on Hart of Dixie (which broke her mindbrain) and I replied with a groan (one of the characters on that show had my name and had a weird uncanny resemblance to me). So it's really cool when you find out actors/comedians/writers play this game and to know they suffer from the plastic crack addiction.

It's funny because my wife watches Scott in Hart of Dixie ... so when I showed her the video it was one of those "intersecting circles" moments (all my 'realms work she views as my "little hobby"). LOL! Scott elevates my geek cred!
Personally I thought these 2 were a fantastic advert for the game, well done to Wizkids and Scott for putting together a professional looking and sounding unboxing.
Let's hope they keep you on to more of these in future.
