A friend of mine was discussing a team he was working on and part of it hinged around carrying a colossal. I was under the impression that multi-based characters (peanuts, 4x4s, etc) can't be carried. He said that another colossal could carry a colossal.
Is this right? And if so, where in the rules would I find that?
And if not, are there any game effects that can "carry" or "move" a multi-base character?

There is such a thing as a single-base Colossal though (Stranger, for one).
Were there specific figures involved in this strategy? There might be a way to pull it off...

Butcher and Spectre are Giants, not Colossals. The principle is the same, but he terminology difference is important. Colossals are a step larger than Giants, and don't have the Carry ability by default like Giants do. They do usually get Carry by some other means though, like Flight or traited Giant Reach.
Butcher can carry Spectre so long as Spectre did not choose to possess Battle Fury this turn via his Damage Special Power, as Battle Fury prevents a character from being carried. Butcher cannot be carried because it's double-based.

In Spectre's case, that's really not a problem. Great Size and Giant Reach combined grant pretty much every bonus he'd get from Flight plus a little more, and makes them uncounterable.
