I will take special promo stuff nice containers and a useable bag for 10 more $$$
Edit: originally thought it came with all the starter characters too but it doesn't. This seems like a good buy for someone running tournaments but not really for someone just trying the game for the first time.
So if i buy this and the starter i can support 4 other players not including myself. Pretty nice idea for people that just want to buy a bunch of 0.99$ boosters and use a tourney organizers stuff for game play.

I like that the Basic Action Dice and Sidekick Dice are different. It gives extra options and a better way to differentiate your dice from your opponents. If they play regular dice, you play the pearlescent colors and vice-versa.
Keep in mind that the box only has enough dice to start 1 player. If you buy it and a starter, that's only enough starter dice for 3 people.

Very true.
I was also including the original starter set that I already have in my possession!! :D

Are the trays just a re-hash of the quarriors box, or something new I wonder. Those hold about 330 if memory serves. Assuming you stack them.
It would not be large enough to hold both AvX and Uncanny X-Men, if that's the case.
Especially if you include the starter dice and prize support.

I'll drop 25$ though, it seems worth it.
I would bet that they're the same trays from a Quarriors box. Has anyone had experience with that kind of box and travelling with it? Specifically, I'm curious what happens if/when it is turned on its side - how well do these trays keep their dice in position?

I've taken my Q stuff in the trays to GenCon and other cons no problem.
Hmm... I'm kind of torn on this. Gonna want to see pics of whats inside first but I guess I'd better pre-order first just to be safe.

I already use my extra Quarriors expansion boxes to carry my Dice Masters stuff around. The second layer acts like a fitted lid for the first tray and prevents the dice from slipping out of their grooves. They work well enough but I always feel like I should be using Plano boxes for something a little sturdier.

So, for those who haven't seen a Quarriors, box, there is a main insert with room for cards and dice. Then there is a clear plastic insert that fits on top of the main insert (which is black) which is also shaped to hold dice. (Note, I have no idea what colors these inserts might be in the DM boxes, I'm just making it easier to talk about in my next paragraph)
dariusq - from your post, I'm reading that if I use the main/black insert for my dice and cover it with the clear insert, then I wouldn't need to be concerned about spillage. Can you give any feedback on if one were to use the clear insert to also hold dice? Is there little enough space between it and the top of the box so that there is also no concern about spillage?

No, that is an issue..........just because of the box and the way it bends.........if you had a elastic band around it (or a few) it is minimized though.....for the most part I try to avoid putting dice on the top of the clear insert.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?
