Some good powers/abilities to shut down on other players: flight, Indomitable/willpower, Phasing (to help your Plasticity minions), defense powers (for poison/quake), Hypersonic/Charge/Running Shot. This battery becomes a thousand times more awesome in a multiplayer game when you can shut down powers on three or four teams (like flight) instead of just one team.
Since GREED looks at a power a corps member can use (as opposed to posses) , this means the powers granted by orange constructs will be important, since they could be used to shut down an opponents corresponding power. Also the whole can't use part for the opponents matching power will also be good for knocking out certain powers granted by resources or even traitors powers.
As far as I know, Flight just grants :improved: Movement: Ignores Hindering, Elevated, and Outdoor Blocking terrain. So, couldn't I just choose improved movement and neuter anyone using any kind of improved movement at all?
I can't wait to give Amazo (which is Thematic). YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A POWER THEY HAVE : P
Also I dig that this battery will never 'get stuck' as you can always take a power action to keep the battery turning thanks to the emotional spectrum power.

I'll second the Amazo comment, but also that true 'pick-a-power' characters will also be able to get maximum use from this thing. You can bet your bippy I'll be trying an Emotional Spectrum enabled Avarice battery with the new Authority figures from the Flash set sometime, as the Engineer can let you shut down SO MUCH STUFF whenever you want. For another kind of 'fun', play the Watcher as a rookie to be able to shutdown Power Cosmic on team that is otherwise packing Quintessence (via an Entity if you must) and make many figures that are normally unstoppable rather frustrated!

Does this mean the Power Battery gains Barrier and Plasticity when assigned an Orange Power Ring (as if it were a character) or it does not get the ring's power because it's not a character? For purposes of Plasticity this is useless, but Barrier has some potential.
Troma, Arokusaki...the only time you would roll to turn the Battery would be when taking an action toi use powers showing on the dial. See: Battery Powers. Emotional Spectrum says nothing about turning the dial.
Muckruckus: being treated as a character for certain things does not make a Battery a character. It cannot gain powers through a Ring.
PsychoHippie, Arokusaki is talking about the pushing damage the battery takes in case you keep using her Power of the Emotional Spectrum..
EndOsiris, Improved Movement let's you ignore a certain kind of thing, when you see an Improved Movement with more than one thing it is considered to be Multiple IMs packed in one, then you have to choose one at a time when you use the Emotional Spectrum Power.
