There is a 1k constructed tournament going on this Saturday and I've been working on putting together a team for it. I'm fairly certain the team must be modern (someone said otherwise, but cannot confirm this) but know for certain that resources and ATAs are allowed. Wanted to go with Legion of Super Heroes for the team because I'm newer and have the most clix from that team - so I can have a theme team while actually having options on who to use.

I've put together a potential core for the team using:
- Splitlip {20}
- Cosmic Boy (#201) {70}
- Superboy {175}
- Gates {60}
- Lightning Lad (#003) {104}
- The Book of the Skulls resource {full 30 pts}

Total for that would be 459, leaving me 541 to play with.

I have a large majority of the legion minus mostly the rare and super rare figures. It was recommended I mention that I do have access to Gates and Superboy as well as White Witch, Black Witch & Phantom Girl (#008).

Simplified in the hopes it might actually get me a response.

Idk if you've done any WoL but the month 1 participation piece, Rond Vidar has LOSH keyword and Team Ability. Leaves you 461 points. Might as well throw Superboy, White/Black Witch, Gates and Phantom Girl on there.

Definitely put White Witch into the mix. At a 1k point game, her special power of limiting your opponent's figures to 1 free action per turn is going to be of great value.

I've been doing WoL, so I've got Rond Vidar. I've also got about 11 different constructs I could put on him. They're not all green (several are star sapphire/violet), but the text on his card doesn't specify that they HAVE to be green.


True, that power would be handy. I could also potentially induct a member of the Trinity of Sin (I have the team base pack) and utilize their power to further limit my opponent. If it would fit in the points, which hasn't been checked as I type this.

I have found that if you are using the legion, it is really fun to use welcome to the legion on someone who can use the GCPD ATA. You can WildCard that and all your legion guys can move for free

I'll have to keep that in mind for a future build since I don't currently have anyone who can use it. I'll definitely be adding someone who can use it to my list of wanted pieces though.

After seeing that part of me wishes I had Tellus since I'm assuming the "bunker" tactic you mentioned is what I was planning with most of that core group I'd put together. Unfortunately I'll have to pull this off without him this time around.

Definitely thanks for those links. They reinforced my thoughts on some of the clix I was considering for inclusion, so it definitely might help fill in my remaining points.

Saw this post in another thread. It's a slightly different direction, but pop in Splitlip instead of the entity along with White Witch, Blok, and whoever else I need to fill in the 1,000 points (keeping in mind the cost per person for the ATA) and it's a possibility.
