When the Heroes For Hire are sent on an international mission of rescue, they run into some super-powered opposition! In this edition of Comic Accurate, we spotlight an unlikely team of mercs!
(Author's Note: This was going to be a DC article, but at this point, fodder for DC articles is coming up pretty weak. So we'll be covering Marvel exclusively again until something worthwhile comes along.)
It's 1998. The Avengers and Fantastic Four are off in a different universe in Heroes Reborn. Luke Cage's Heroes For Hire are one of a few upstart non-mutant teams left behind to fill the void (the Thunderbolts being the other). This incarnation of the H4H are contracted by Namor's company, Oracle Inc. to rescue a scientist being held in Symkaria. Only thing standing between the Heroes and liberating the scientist? Silver Sable and her Wild Pack! A fight ensues.
Now it needs to be said, the team we're building is NOT the Heroes For Hire. That team is super-easy to build: Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Colleen Wing, Misty Knight and Deadpool. Anyone can build that now. It's the Wild Pack that are our team for this article: Silver Sable, Sandman, Paladin, The Cat and Nomad. Okay, Nomad is actually Madcap in disguise. But for the bulk of the issue, it's Nomad, which works out for us since he's a character that's actually been clixed.

Together, the Wild Pack comes out to 392 points. For that leftover eight points, I'd just tack on either Camouflage or Entangle for Sandman. Your call.
Why these figures - Should be pretty obvious, shouldn't it? Of the five figures on this team, two have never been made before and three are LONG overdue remakes! And there is no reason to choose any of the old pieces in this case. The older versions of Sable, Sandman and Paladin do not hold up in a modern scene.
Tips for running this team - First off, use Paladin's trait and give him the Syndicate TA right away. After that, get all up in there! Cat and Sandman are made for close combat fighting! And get Sable right behind them to help out with her empower! Then use Sable, Nomad and Paladin for ranged attacks picking off the people you have tied up with Sandman and Cat.
That's it for this edition of Comic Accurate! Next week is an all-new Unclixed, and in two weeks, it's a titanic trio team-up! The dream of the 90's lives!
I've actually ran this team pre-deadpool set release based on this issue at one of our venues "Comic accurate theme team events" if they appear in a comic as a team you can play them as if they were a legit theme team regardless of keywords.
I had to use the old Paladin and Vet Silver Sable. Looks like im going to have to bust this out again since I didn't get to use the Cat last time either!
