Okay, I'm goofing around with feating up X-Men teams and I came across an interaction that I hope works my way...
dp048 Blink's trait says:
BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS ME: Give Blink a power action when she has no action tokens. Place her into any square within 8 squares and make a close combat attack. If she hits you may return her to the square she occupied when the action began.
and the Maneuver feat says:
Choose a character. When the character makes a close combat attack against a single target opposing character, after the attack is resolved, put the target in any unoccupied square adjacent to the character.
The trait doesn't specify timing on returning her to the square she occupied after she hits, so can she blink in, hit, blink back and then place the hit character adjacent?

Note that you won't get official rulings on feats anymore.
I would say that the timing (since it isn't directly specified) is that you do the placement immediately after determining if it hit.
You would therefore get to place the character after hopping back.

Did you mean to contradict yourself there? If the placement is immediately after determination of a hit that would happen before Blink is moved back to her original square, not after. .. Or am I missing something?

The first time he mentioned placement he was referring to Blink. The second time he mentioned placement he was referring to the hit character.
For my 2 cents, the main parts that make the question are the "If she hits you may return her..." and "after the attack is resolved..."
If it reference the action, it would be easy, but it could easily be interpreted either way. Since there won't be any official rulings on this, I would ask the judge at the event beforehand to see how he would rule it. If it came up in my events, I would say that you'd have to resolve Maneuver before returning her same way as you would if you used HSS with Maneuver (the attack resolves and then you move)... since there's no clarification on timing, it could easily go either way, but your opponent is just as likely to ask the judge because it is so unclear so it's better to know how that judge will rule it just in case.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????

Good call. I'll ask next time I'm up there, before I field her.
