So is it official (as of now) that you can only use the Red Eyes chase 054 for the fusion cause of the "merge" wording? It makes me a sad panda that I can't use Red Eyes from the op kit. Need a chase and a super rare from series 1 to turn into the new chase via fusion (brutal).

Oh, because of the points, you mean? Hadn't thought about that... Still pretty brutal to fuse to his 200pt starting line, though, especially if one of the fuse-ees has already taken some hits.

To the merge question, no you can use the OP kit one, because he doesnt merge he Fuses,its a different mechanic and only needs to have the name listed.

actually I see the problem now, my bad, yep only he chase, it uses the merge ability in the fusion ability, merp.

You are correct sir. I went to my LCGS and i just felt all the packs for the heaviest thing in there knowing it would be one of the chases and pulled the XYZ. Lol
