I'm playing in a 300 pt Modern Age tournament tomorrow. The venue I'll be playing at has a house rule they call a "1% rule", which means that for teams for an event, you can go over in points on your team equal to 1% of the build total. In this instance, it would be 3 points, so my maximum build total is 303 points

Here's the team I'm thinking about playing:

Blue Lantern Power Battery with the follow constructs:

Build Total: 301 pts.

Strategy:
Blind Al gets Adam Strange off his first click. Have Adam Strange pop around the map blasting people while using Mxy and Nighthawk to plex up stats as needed(after having constructs assigned) and shut down defenses.

I'd really like to try and fit a wall construct on, which I could do by switching the bulldozer and either the decoy or sniper rifle, but not sure if that would be a good idea. I really want to keep the spotlight on there as otherwise I have no way to get around stealth.

Any thoughts or ideas on if getting a wall on there is a good idea? Or thoughts on the team in general?

Why Adam Strange with that support? Pushing someone onto their stop click? What benegit does BL PB and Adara provide? I think Orange + Ophidian or Green + Ion could me much better suited.

With the support for Adam Strange, it will help protect him from being hit if his Zeta beam doesn't send him back.

I thought about doing Orange plus Ophidian, but that severely limits the rerolls I have available.

Without Adara, I have no real prob. Plus, with Adara on Strange on his second click, I get prob and can have a 20 def before any plexing.

Also, if I come up against another Nighthawk prime(which is not that unlikely at this venue), making sure I have a prob available can help to get around not being able to increase my combat values.

Unfortunately, I do not have an Ion to use with a Green Battery, nor do I have all of the Green constructs. Also, only one of my characters doesn't have Willpower, I wouldn't be able to make the best use of its emotional spectrum.

I may be a missing a lot here because I'm just not getting it. The Zeta Beam special power is filled with "cannot be re-rolled". Blue battery doesn't allow re-roll on your turn so its not like your re-rolling forceblast. He doesnt have shape change, impervert, SS etc..
Only 2 (of 3) of your figures don't have willpower as you said. That's perfect for green battery. Ion on Strange for +1's and the rest of your team gets willpower. But then I would swap for Kori anyways get rid of Blind Al and your stuck with an entirely different team. Limiting opponent's free actions will always be the best use. Trust me. Willpower is an added bonus. Good luck with whatever you go with.

I agree with him, particularity with your blue battery. AS it is now, pretty much only one who can benefit from its spectrum power is Nighthawk and the most important thing you wanna prob-con, the ZETA BEAM is un-prob-con-able (yes I just created a word deal with it ) so not sure why you want blue over orange(and it sounds like you do have orange PB). ANd not sure you would want to Blind AL your stop click guy either - it is one more hit your main attacker can take, and if you go first, it allows you go deeper into their territory then you should. I think that 13 pts are deadweight.

and honestly, I am not sure why exactly you are focused on "protecting ADAM" anyway? I mean nighthawk+Myxz will give near-invincible protection to pretty much anyone. I think what you need is more fire power (i.e. even H.E.R.N.Y to increase adam's damage would be better than AL, and Ophidian provides way more fire power than adara...)

Here's the thing. Adam is a no go. He is dragging/hindering the rest of your team. I'd find another primary 100 point attacker. Blind Al should be activating Mxy to go in and pulsewave so that you can control th game. Basically, the team is decent (filled with the top meta pieces) but you need a new primary.
