Hey, sorry if this is a repeated question. I swear I read some errata last year that said resources couldn't be used on collossals, is that still a thing? Or is it simply the power battery that stops working?

There is no such rule. And I have no idea why the Power Battery would matter.
A few specific characters can't use resources (their character cards will tell you this).
And some effects, like the new-ish Equip, only work on standard characters ( are not standard). So Galactus can't use Hulkbuster parts.
But there is no such rule like you are indicating.
I had the same misconception at first. I think it was due to them introducing "Equipping." But as stated, that is referencing an Entity. I blame there not being a rule book to refer back to when you think you hear such things...
They changed the definition of a "standard character". At this time, primarily for the purpose of what can have things "equipped" to it.
A duo can use a resource. That's the same as it's always been. Resources aren't "
equipped" to a figure - things like Ophidian, Parallax, Brainiac, Eclipso, Hulkbuster pieces (to name a few) - those are "equipped". But resources aren't.
You cannot equip an entity (or anything else that qualifies as "equipped") to a Collossal
A teambase or vehicle cannot use a resource
But a Sentinel can absolutely use the Power Plant or a Power Battery
The time I ran an Infinity Gauntlet on a 300pt Advanced Sentinel was my favorite thing ever because it could push every turn, never take damage, and the Soul Gem ensured it just wouldn't die
If a character is not a standard character, then it can’t be equipped. Using Eclipso as an example, he can’t be equipped to a bystander character, or any character that possesses one or more of the listed combat symbols.
The "equip" mechanism is applicable to (a) entities (who had it errata'd onto them) and (b) those figures with the "equip/effect" terminology on their cards (examples include Eclipso, Brainiac, Jocasta).
Resources do NOT have this equip/effect terminology (ok, the BotS says "equip", but there's no "effect", so that's a different terminology).
Resources can be used by colossal figures even though they're not standard characters.
This seems to come up every 2-3 months and people seem to not get it - a simple search on this website (or via a Google search restricted to this website) would pull up all of the prior discussions/threads and spare us having to drive this nail over and over and over and over and over again.
