After seeing the cards from this set, some odd things are jumping out. Two Splinters was an odd choice, rather than having a different TMNT ally instead of a 2nd Splinter. As printed, playing a Turtles team, you cannot have eight different characters on your mat because of the two Splinters.
The strangest thing was seeing Fugitoid as a Villain. I only know him from the old comics, but I never remember him as being a villain. He is a TMNT Ally in the Heroclix set, right? His power affects both Turtles and Villains in the set equally, so it seems like he could easily be the 8th Turtle team character (which is how I will run him)
This is supposed to be a thematic, self-contained introductory-type set with a nice easy symmetry, right? It is not hard to screw up-- 8 good guys vs. 8 bad guys. Wiz-Kids managed to make it 7 good guys (with a duplicate) vs. 8 bad guys-- oh, wait, one of the bad guys has been a good guy and Turtle Ally 99% of the time (if not 100%).
Yeah, WK forgets their own rules often. This isn't new. For the new players they can break the rules in their home games and play both splinters until they get some other sets to play along with the turtles stuff.
