I know there's no "Ultimate Fantastic Four" title, but they were mentioned early on in "The Ultimates". I was wondering, have they made appearances in any of the other Ultimate comics? And has any of their "Ultimate" origin been discussed?
Ultimate Marvel Team-Up featured the Fantastic Four on
two occasions. Most stories were written by Brian Micheael
Bendis and is available in Trade paperback and Hardcover.
i think they oughta make ultimate ff! come on! that would mean galactus, surfer, DOOM!, inhumans, blastaar, annihilus, molecuel man, super skrull! it would be so great!
While there has already been an Ultimate FF in the comics, that doesn't mean that the ongoing series will be anything like their first appearance. Ultimate Iron Man made his first appearance in the pages of Ultimate Marvel Team-Up as well, and his character in Ultimates is NOTHING like his first appearance. There's no telling what changes an ongoing FF title could bring. As long as it's fresh, original, and exciting, make mine Ultimate Marvel!
Was their an offical annoucenment about UFF, or is this just more rumors? This book as been rumored about (Morrison was susposed to be doing it for a while) since the Ultimate Universe started. I wouldn't take anything on this book as fact until theres something offical and/or in print.
Theres only one Return, and it ain't of the King, its of the Jedi.
So, if it is true that they're starting an Ultimate FF, anyone know if they're gonna backdate the story a couple years, since it seems their origins are supposed to predate the others (or at least the Avengers)?
What I've heard was that it was apparently announced at the Ultimate Universe panel at WizardWorld-Chicago. I've seen it reported on a couple comic news sites so I'm assuming it isn't rumor.
If its not from someone or something offical (an interview, Wizard preview etc....) its a rumor. Last year almost every site was saying "UFF is about to start up with Grant Morrison writing".

Why? I could see them doing a story where the mission that sends them into space is funded by the Ultimates and Shield at first. The univserse that has been set up in the Ultimate books would accept a group like the FF perfectly without having to go back in time. Plus the Ulimate Univserse was created (in part) to make things simple - having one book be 2 years behind the others wouldn't be that simple.
