Day 64: Early morning before Dawn; on a replicated Earth, in an alternate reality where some powerful entities have kidnapped heroes and villains from several realities, primarily Marvel and DC but also other realities and are forcing them to coexist in their own created reality.

Natasha Romanov; the Black Widow, was the last of the main Avengers left that had yet to be taken away from her own reality. She had been forced to call in help like the Rangers and American Eagle to shore up the Avengers.

Texas Twister had proven very effective at handling Sandman and they handled other threats effectively, but they were outnumbered even with so many supervillains missing.

The Widow became pensive, reflecting on her missing friends and was taken by surprise when the rift in reality grabbed her.

Otto Octavius; Dr. Octopus stared around himself in wonder. Was he somehow in Paris? How could that be? Why was he here? Was this what had happened to Spiderman and the other heroes and villains? Now it was his turn?

But something was off. There was the Eiffel Tower and there was the Seine river. Octavius had travelled to Paris for a symposium before he had the accident that made him Dr. Octopus but this Paris did not seem so modern as he remembered.

Suddenly several men in Luftwaffe uniforms approached. When they saw Dr. Octopus, they began shouting and reaching for their lugers.

Octavius used his tentacles to slap their weapons away. Then he throttled the men at the ends of his tentacles. He tossed their lifeless bodies to the side. Gendarmes loyal to Vichy France came running when they heard the shouts of the Luftwaffe officers but they hesitated when they saw how Octopus manhandled the four Nazis.

Octavius tore chunks of concrete from the sidewalk and hurled it at them and the gendarmes broke and ran. They weren't ready to deal with this.

Otto turned and ran to the Eiffel Tower and began climbing it to find somewhere to hide so that he could plan his next move.

The Black Widow emerged from the rift in reality in time to see Dr. Octopus scaling rapidly up the side of the Eiffel Tower.

She looked around to assess the situation and saw the four dead Luftwaffe officers.

She decided that Octavius was the only one that could explain this to her so; reluctantly, she began scaling the Eiffel Tower after him.

Octavius' mind was racing. He had been transported back in time to WWII? To what purpose? He was not a good man but he was no Nazi sympathizer!

Now he was alone with no assets, allies or any place to hide. As Dr. Octopus he was bound to stand out. He needed somewhere to hole up so he could think.

He made it to the top and discovered some laboratories and a small apartment. He forced a door to the apartment and found it's occupant absent.

He decided to wait there and think. He saw the apartment was stocked with good French cuisine and wine.

The Black Widow could not climb as fast as Ock and lost sight of him when he reached the top. She didn't like that. She had no desire to confront Dr. Octopus in close quarters. Still, she followed and discovered the labs and the apartment at the top. She tried the doors furtively.

When she tried the Apartment door it gave a little and a raging Dr. Octopus came charging out. Natasha barely got out of the way.

When Octavius saw the Black Widow, he almost felt a sense of relief. Something familiar, in an unfamiliar world.

Octavius challenged Natasha. "What do you Know of this woman?" he demanded.

"Take it easy doctor. I'm as confused as you are. We need to compare notes and work together to make sense of this."

"You wish to work together?"

"We have no choice. We are; how you say, strangers in a strange land. We stand out and will be targets, especially if this is world war 2 occupied Paris. The Nazis will not rest until we are captured and worse. We must move carefully no matter how strong your tentacles make you."

"Your words make sense. Quickly, let's go into this apartment and work out a plan, shall we?"

Natasha had no desire to be in such cramped quarters with such an unstable personality, but she had no choice. Even with their advantages a concerted effort by the Nazis could bring them both down.

With some apprehension, she joined Dr. Octopus in the small quarters.

Back on Winath, the Legion, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Green Lanterns, the members of Infinity Watch, Iron Man (in the Thorbuster armor), the Hawks, the Fantastic Four, Adam Strange, Starlord , Rocket Raccoon, Metron, Orion, and the former heralds of Galactus finally overcame the fire demons and the rock trolls that menaced the planet and could turn their attention to the deep space battle that raged between Galactus and the Fire Demon Surtur.


Legion members like Triplicate Girl, Dream Girl, Bouncing Boy and Shrinking Violet, along with the incapacitated Colossal Boy stayed behind to help Winath recover from the recent incursions.

Dr. Octopus and the Black Widow decided to use the cover of night, to slip into a less conspicuous part of Paris to hide. Anyone who had seen them could easily direct the Nazis to their whereabouts if they stayed.

They fed themselves quickly and then slipped out to try to evade any Nazi patrols. They were only halfway down when a patrol of Nazis responding to an alert arrived and began firing up at them. They were forced to retreat to avoid the hail of bullets. They were treed, so to speak.

Reports were made to Berlin. Torquemada was in charge. He had the spirit of his reality's Hitler in his soul. Barons Zemo, Blood and Strucker had no choice but to be subservient. Nor did Arnim Zola.

When the descriptions arrived about Dr. Octopus and the Black Widow were made available, Arnim Zola knew immediately who they were.

Torquemada ordered Baron Blood, Baron Strucker and Natalia Kassle to take Major Maxim and capture the Anerican villain and the Russian spy.

The Black Widow and Dr. Octopus fled back to the apartment. They would have to make a stand there.

They didn't like their prospects.

In deep space; close to the Winath solar system, the battle raged on between Surtur and Galactus.

Neither side was faltering.

Back in L.A, Molly Hayes was waking up early. She was determined to help deal with the oncoming Walkers. The others didn't want her to because they were afraid Molly might get infected, so they had told her to stay in bed and let them handle it.

But Molly wanted to prove she could handle it and shouldn't be treated like a little girl.

So she got up and went out, looking for the first signs of a Walker.

When Namora learned from Jimmy Woo that her cousin and her daughter existed in this reality, she immediately demanded to go see them.

Jimmy Woo granted a leave of absence so that Namora could get satisfaction.

Bug rode with his new friend Chameleon Boy but he was still stuck at his diminutive six inch size in this reality.

Now he was on his way to tangle with powerful cosmic beings. What could he do?

But he was nervous.

Malekith stewed about "Odin's theft of the Destroyer armor just as he had gained possession of it.
