He's a monster. I'm curious to see how well the piece will actually work out without aid. Regardless, he has a lot of options to bolster his naked defense stats, if you want to avoid Venom. I'm liking the idea of equipping him with Wrath. He'll also get the benefit of the Mob ATA, which I think will be key, as Mercenaries and Bane Thugs were made to aid this guy. I think that's what makes me most happy about this piece- He opens the doors to use some older GCU pieces that didn't have much relevance before(why does rocket launcher Bane need the Empower of the Thugs?).
That sculpt, oh man, that sculpt. Classic Bane. No frills. No artistic interpretations. This is the iconic Bane we know and love. The sculpt alone makes him worth the price of admission.
I really like this dial. Though I would have appreciated some outwit to represent his brilliant intellect. Despite that I'll definitely be playin this one!
Hey guys, I have a question, the Venom pump power is mandatory each turn or just in the turn that you decide? If It is the first option he Will die for sure after 5-6 turns. Any idea how to make him competitive??
Traded my Sketch Aqua-Bizarro man for this guy. No Secret Six keyword on either him or Deadshot is very disappointing though. He takes for frickin' ever to KO, and I am looking forward to picking up a Symbiote or equipping him with Black Hand for some serious shenanigans...:devious:
"Our mother has been absent ever since we founded Rome; but there's gonna be a party when the wolf comes home."
I've played him twice so far, and can confirm that equips only make him that much more brutal. In games where I didn't pick up my relic, I figured he might need help with that naked dial. With the right pit crew, he can go to town without any extra game elements, and that's awesome.
With no super strength to speak of, he's a kind of garbage representation of Bane. his dial may be long but with 3 clicks of 16 defense in the middle and his only ability damaging him when he uses it, it's not built to last. This piece was a huge disappointment for me.
Have you guys actually played this figure? He decimates pieces twice his size, and with the right load out, he becomes downright abusive. Why would he need Super Strength when he gets a +2 damage any turn he wants? Trust me, the figure looks vanilla, but that doesn't matter when he's ripping 200 point figures in half with his bare hands.
@ Crevette: No, you cannot use multiple effects. Per 2014 Rulebook Page 10: If a character can use multiple game effects to reduce and/or ignore damage dealt, only one of those game effects can activate, to be decided by the character‘s controlling player.
