After reading that the Light Wall Marker must follow the barrier placement restrictions of drawing LoF (in the card only says within range) or being placed in clear terrain in the rules forum http://win.wizkids.com/bb/viewtopic....fbc1fa1#p27208 what is the point of the marker to prevent the use of Stealth if you can't put it on hindering terrain to reveal enemies?, this is such a waste of ability if you can only prevent characters from use stealth outside hindering terrain...
How do you use it to get the max output from the trait?, what strategies do you use with him?

You can place the barrier in a square of clear terrain adjacent to the character occupying hindering. There aren't a ton of maps with 9 adjacent squares of hindering. And in any case, usually the opposing character doesn't want to be that deep in hindering terrain because they don't want to grant an opponent +1 defense or hamper their movement that much.
He uses Barrier then his special power allows him to replace that Barrier with the Light Marker, which needs to be placed in an opposing character's square.
That opposing character additionally must be within range.
But you can't place the light wall marker in an unoccupied square, can you?
Correct. The marker must be placed in a square that is occupied by a character, that is also an otherwise legal square to place a normal Barrier marker.
And yes, this makes the Stealth prevention part not actually work the way many people think it would. If an opposing character with Stealth is actually in hindering terrain, and not adjacent to another character, the Wall can't do much about that Stealth.

GREEN LANTERN'S LIGHT: Once per turn, Green Lantern can use Barrier. He can use it as a free action, but only to place 1 Barrier marker. When he uses Barrier, he may substitute one Barrier marker that he would place with the Light Wall Marker and place it in a character's square within range, positioning one side along an edge; this marker acts as a wall. If you place the Light Wall Marker, it is removed at the beginning of your next turn. UNIQUE MODIFIER - Opposing characters adjacent to any of his Light Wall or Barrier markers can't use Stealth and modify their defense values by -1.
Quoting the power. Sure, the Light Wall is useless against a character that is occupying Hindering with no Adjacent opposing character, but you can simply place a single barrier token in a clear square adjacent to the character occupying hindering. You don't need to use the Light Wall for the effect, or even at all.

It does Not need to be placed in an opposing characters square. Send in a friendly first and shine a light on your friend to see what evil lurks in the shadows...For the dark things cannot stand the light.
...unless of course there is wood or plants or something like that in the way.
