A solid 400point silver age Batman Family Theme team
This team list is from highest to lowest point value
The first and main utility beef of this team at 150 points is the Batman super rare from justice league trinity war
This entire team is pretty squishy when it comes to damage reducers but Batman is here to bring versatility to the table with his special attack and damage powers.
The second figure is great figure used on many teams at 100 points is the Nightwing OP kit figure
He can dish out a good amount of damage if you get an outwit from Batman or Ace the Bathound onto an opposing character then use his improved movement charge and flurry. I’ve used this team in a couple of games and I’ve used his Pog mainly for perplex to bulk up my attack or defense. Never really had a chance to use his support since most of these figures get KO’d in one turn.
The third figure on this team at 75 points is the Batgirl OP kit figure
Ive found that she can be used for a good perplex and enhancement or empower power pick onto another friendly character mainly on to the tony zucco pog or you can carry a wounded friendly character to tony zucco to get patched up.
The Fourth figure on this team at 50 points is Ace the Bathound Convention exlusive
He even brings more versatility to the table with his pick a power special damage ability much like Batman except with the restriction of having choosing a different one from your last. Able to be a nice stealth buster for both batgirl or Batman since both have range values at five.
The Fifth and final figure at 25 points is the autopiloted batcycle from streets of Gotham
This vehicle will be the stealth engine that powers this team giving this team smoke cloud tokens at the end of each movement while carrying two friendlies.
So that’s a +5 to map rolls and maxing out your theme probability control at 5 with 2017 wizkids rules. Now what map I found that fits this team great is the Gaming Convention premium map. There’s plenty of room and blocking terrain to bait out your opponent in this map. This team does well against teams without stealth busters but doesn’t do so well against teams with an overwhelming amount of damage output.
I played half this team at locals but I subbed nightwing for the convention exclusive Red Robin and Ace the bat hound for 014 uncommon Batman since I didn’t have Ace the bathound while playing this team. My local comic shop had lend me out Red Robin and gave me the Batgirl.
I went 3-1 W-L but the first match was a draw when it came to time and points so judge had us roll off and I lost. I was given the the draw but I didn’t make the top cut for prizes since the roll off determined that I lost my first match. If your in Texas swing by Sci-Fi Factory Lake Worth Located:6560 Lake Worth Blvd, Fort Worth 76135 Check them out on facebook they post game builds and play games every Thursday and Sunday. +Plus Wizkids Open is coming up July 14th 2018 and they’ll hosting a tournament
Thanks fellas for reading and I hope you enjoy building and playing this team.
I always love Bat-family teams. A change I'd make is to play Bats at his 85 point level, and add in either Black Bat, to add even more damage and chaos potential.
The Arkham Robin is still fun to play (though he pre-dates the Batman Family keyword), as is the Trinity War Catwoman:
I definitely like both the Batcycle and Ace the Bathound for Batman Family teams. The mobility and Utility that these bring can be very important for their teams. Low-cost vehicles (ignoring characters for movement). One character that makes a decent mid-range anchor for 400-point Batman Family teams is Agent 37. I've found that this dial offers a lot of options and forces opponents to adapt their strategies in ways that may not be comfortable with.
I like the idea of swarming opposing teams with smaller point characters.Especially with a batman family theme team. Thanks for the input jimmyboy. Sorry for the late response.
Yeah tidge I've played Agent 37 before but not on a theme team. I have the idea playing him with Nehkrun, The Bat-God at 100 points giving needed stealth to Agent 37 on another Batman family theme team. Though I've never put it to the test..
