Hellso all. I don't know if this question has been asked before. But I will say it. Is the GL ability affected by the no flyer can pick up another flyer rule? Thanks everyone.

Yep. No more GL + Lightning Lad (er, Live Wire). While the new rules make GL less powerful, the ability still rocks if you're playing lots of grounded guys (like Sgt Rock and his Fisticuff-Happy Joes of Easy Co.!).

Aside from the number of figures involved, nothing has ever separated the GL ability from normal taxiing. Though there may be no Indy version of the GL ability, there is also no reason to believe that it will obey any special rules regarding assigning actions.

It’s still powerful, especially in mixed games where you can include R Invisible Girl, V Taskmaster and V Bullseye in the entourage.

Same thing with the Sentinel. It can taxi figures just as a normal flyer, so now it can't taxi any fliers, although it can capture them still. Now Sentinels are sweeter than before, as they can ignore figure bases completely. They no longer have to stop when they come into contact with another figure base, and they still always succeed in breakaway.

Cool. I was wondering in a mixed game useing a GL and a wild card. if the wildcard mimics the GL team can he or she pick up those 8 figs or does the wildcard have to be a flying fig already to do that?

Another question is Doctor Doom. GL mimic+RS+EE+multi targets in one turn? can i do that?

Yes to both of your questions! I used this in a tourney tonight! Though I didn't win, I used this tactic quite effectively!

Thanks Darth Sabre. Cool I always like Doctor Doom. Now I like him even better. Cool Now my friend won't be pulling out any cheese and he won't like it. Flyer carrying flyer, and using a taskmaster to mimic a GL to move everyone around. YES! INDY RULES UPDATE RULES. Oh Team PT? I mostly play 500pt or 1000pt.

Remember, under Indy rules, the effectiveness of this tactic will be drastically reduced.

We played 700 points....tonight. I can make this team at 500, 600, and 700 pts. Though the 700 point version uses two hard to obtain LE's but I can substitue them. If you are interested in finding out the team....e-mail me..@

Like HeroComplex said, nothing is different about GL's taxi ability except how many teammates he can carry. It's not enough to be a Wild Card to mimic the ability, you still need to be a flyer (ala Doom, Doombots, and the cast of the Legion).
