- Can you use RCE with mutliple ranged attack (cyclops has 2 damage + 2 from RCE and 3 arrows) ?
- If your perplex a fig with 3 arrows and 2 damage, do you do 3 damage spread among the targets or +1 damage on each targets ?
- If you use energy explosion with 3 arrows, do you do 3 energy explosion with 1 damage, or 1 energy explosion of 1 damage only (since you only have a damage value of 1 to split between targets) to the target of your choice between the 3 ?
- Perplex on Energy explosion with multiple target ranged attack ? How does it works ?
- RCE still very, very explicitly says that it works on single-target attacks.
- Perplex cannot be used in the middle of another action, and so you have to use it before you begin your attack. It will increase damage value to 3, and then that 3 is distributed.
Still need some precisions, since i'm really confused with EE... though...
How does EE works ? Can you Enhance the damage of EE with Enhancement or SHIELD ability ? Can you use EE with multiple targets if you have more than one arrows ? How much damage do you do then ? What if you have enhanced or shielded these damage ?
Marvel FAQ, Energy Explosion
Energy Explosion with multiple attacks and S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents, an example:
Two opposing characters, A and B, are adjacent to each other. Character C has two lightning bolt symbols and the Energy Explosion power. Character C uses Energy Explosion on both A and B, then an adjacent S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent enhances the damage. Character C is successful with both attacks, so A gets hit for 2 (1 + 1 for the S.H.I.E.L.D. enhancement). B, adjacent, gets “splash damage” for 2 (1 + 1 for the S.H.I.E.L.D. enhancement). Then B gets hit for 2 (1 + 1 for the S.H.I.E.L.D. enhancement). A, adjacent, gets hit for 2 (1 + 1 for the S.H.I.E.L.D. enhancement). A and B each receive a total of 4 damage.
And Enhancement works the same as SHIELD, except that Enhancement doesn't require actions nor action tokens.
I think the wording of the PAC is quite confusing about it since it writes :
energy explosion : "give the character a ranged combat action. this character damage value becomes one (...)"
As far as i understand your explanations, it's an exception of the generic ranged combat action rules as per see in indy clix. Because in indy clix a multiple ranged combat action divide the damage between the targets. The wording seems to indicate you only have ONE damage to split between the targets and then the targets is hit, and everyone around it too.
But you've cleared that point. The Old rule is still there then... Well...
Pulse Wave still cannot be combined with multiple-targeting, because the combination still would have no meaning, really. Pulse Wave is already going to be capable of hitting every figure in half-range, so there's nothing extra that the ability to multi-target would do.
