While we are getting the umpteenth version of Superman and Batman, there are still oh so many more or less popular characters out there that are still waiting impatiently for their Heroclix debut. In this edition of Unclixed, it's The Boy Wonder's faithful flying friend, Goliath!

Way back when, before Damian Wayne ever met his father Batman and became the newest Robin, he was a part of the League of Assassins. Trained by his mother Talia al Ghul, he was tasked with "The Year of Blood", where he spent a year killing and stealing to prove himself.

During that year, he ventured to Bialya and encountered a cave full of Bat-Dragons. He killed all but one; a small baby Bat-Dragon that he showed mercy to and then lied about to Talia. Damian would take the baby Bat-Dragon in and raise it to serve as a winged companion.

Recently, as Damian set out to atone for the Year of Blood, he brought Goliath with him. Goliath has also been present for Damian's adventures with Jonathan Kent and the Teen Titans.

Why clix him? Look at him. He's a giant red furry Bat-Dragon. You know the old joke about why a guy that dresses all in black and sticks to the shadows hangs out with a kid wearing bright red, green and yellow so he's a big target? Now just imagine that target is a sociopathic ex-assassin and coming down with a gigantic winged monster. It's pretty awesome.

Who would he play with? Robin, natch. Teen Titans also, and with an obvious animal keyword.

What would his dial look like? There could probably be justification for the giant symbol on Goliath's base. Flight, obviously. But for the most part, he'd probably have Charge, Super Strength and some Invulnerability. Maybe B/C/F for those claws of his. And most definitely a perk for being adjacent to Robin (specifically Damian)

I'd give him a special power that when Damian was targeted with an attack, if he was within X squares, he could be placed in between and become the target of the attack.

Similar to the "Big Blue Boy Scout" Superman, so that mechanism already exists in the game.

I modded one years ago, and put it on a Great Eagle, so it wouldn't break Damian's theme teams.
