OK we all know and love these guys, especially because of their "Shredder Elite" traits. But assuming they're causing problems for you, how do you prefer to deal with them? I'm trying to come up with some different team builds. Any thoughts?

The Shredder Elite is a highly annoying power. I've used it from a few different characters, and my opponents didn't like it any more than I did when it was used against me. One of the problems is that there is a tiny Elite (which can be carried) and a giant Elite (which is very mobile).

The WK LE Captain Cold and Heat Wave can set up Barriers, and then make ranged attacks against an adjacent (to the Barrier) figure. The Mini Shredder will still get his bonus against ranged attacks sadly. These ranged attacks ignore Lines-of-Fire so Stealth doesn't come into play.

This change really slows down the otherwise free damage, but then you have to have the Invincible character (a) not be outwitted and (b) be willing to stand adjacent to the Shredder Elite(s).
I thought there was a character that could choose a standard power such that opposing figures can't use the power, but I may have confused this with Rainbow Raider. If there is such a figure, picking pink (Sidestep) will at least slow them down (a little).
Ok so your assuming that youve damaged the shredder already, and that you have someone else perplexing it. Got it.
Another option is to equip anyone with good range the Proxima Spear and give the shredder immobile. You can do that in back to back turns keeping him based while your tentpole pounds him to dust.
