Hey yall, trying to iron out some things for a team I'm building.
My question is with Kobik's Special Trait.

REWRITE HISTORY: POWER: Once per game, choose an adjacent friendly character on their starting line and a characters on your sideline with the same name as the chosen character. If the first character is equal or more points than the second, replace the first character with the second on their starting line. (That character can't have the same set symbol and collector number.)
Would this allow me to include a character on my sideline to use in conjunction with this trait? The reason why I ask is I remember sometime back there was a ruling where you just can't use random things on your sideline or maybe I'm losing my mind.
All I can find in the Rulebook currently is on Pg. 3

SIDELINE
When building a starting force, some game elements
may allow you to build a Sideline. Your Sideline contains
game elements that can be brought into the game by
specific effects. As above, your starting Sideline is what
you build during force construction, and an effect that says
“Sideline” means your current Sideline.
When a Sideline is allowed by game elements, up to 3
game elements per 100 points of the build total may be
included in your starting Sideline, with a maximum of
15 game elements allowed. The point values of game
elements in your starting Sid

Sorry if this was a little wordy, but want to dot my I's and cross my T's before hand and not look like a fool.
If you have a figure with a object, like a gem, and when I use Kobik's "Rewrite History" to replace the figure, does the object transfer to the newly replaced figure?

When an effect causes a character to be replaced:
• If the replaced character had action tokens, each replacement character is assigned that same number of action tokens. If the replacement effect caused an action token to be given, the replacement character is considered to have received the action token and may be dealt pushing damage (if applicable).
• If the replaced character was given a costed action this turn, then the replacement character is considered to have already been given a costed action this turn.
• If the replaced character was carried this turn, the replacement character is considered to have been carried this turn.
• Only the above three effects “carry over”. No other effects of any kind that applied to the replaced character start applying to the replacement character.

That's good to know because I like to run The Zombie (Simon Garth) who comes with a Relic token that allows people to control him, opposing players are granted Mind Control to control the character if they pick up the relic token. But, if a friendly character picks up the token then it's a FREE action to command The Zombie to be given ANY ACTION because it's not "mind control" for the friendly character.
