EXTENSION OF MYSELF: Living Hair has the printed combat values, and can use the standard powers, displayed on the dial of the character that generated it. Protected: Pulse Wave.
Simple question: when living hair uses the combat values of it's origin character, are those values considered replacements?
Boy, I sure have pissed off a lot of people lately on the interwebs. Sorry to all.
What about calling them "Papillomas?"

Surprised we don't have an answer on this yet. I submitted it to WIN last week so hopefully we'll see something.
I think they are because the hair's stats change are are continually replaced when Medusa's dial changes. Also, since ??? are not stats and they tell you to use X instead, I say so.
I'll definitely have to check back.

I dunno, as much as WK/NECA is hung-up on exact verbiage this may NOT be an instance of Replacement: the Hair uses Red's stats, they are not replacing the Hair's stats.....

Keep in mind that something like "Energy Explosion with a range of 5" is still a replacement value, even though it doesn't use the word "replace".

This. I think back when triplicate girl was a thing, the GF version had a similar setup and I think hers could be modified.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
They shouldn't be considered Replacement Values, simply because the Hair itself doesn't have any actual values on it's own. That can get very problematic.

And this is where I'm stuck. One could make the argument that a question mark is a value, just not a numerical value, if we're splitting hairs...

One could try to make that argument, I guess. But they'd be wrong. Values require a number to be used during calculations.
Pulse Wave uses a characters printed Defense. If you PW the Hair, what value do you check against the attack roll? You can't compare "?" to an attack total.

Well they are protected from pulse wave lol
