my atempt on somthing different ( yes it might look familliar)
i helped someone out on here yesterday with a pretty cool deck. i decided to try it out and add my twist to the deck. lets see what people think...
monsters
2 needle worm
morphing jar
2 morphing jar #2
2 sasuke samuri 3
2 bistro butcher
tribe infecting virus
2 cannon soldier
3 spear cretin
2 night asailant
fiber jar
makiura the destructor
magic
card destruction
2 serial spell
2 last will
pot of greed
change of heart
scapegoat
confiscation
swords of revealing light
2 messenger of peace
mystical space typhoon
last will and cannon soldier get my sasukes, needle worms and coffin seller is a good burn, and card destruction with magic thorn or greed is just deadly. better yet - if i have 2 greed, 2 thorns, or a greed and a thorn in play it can win the game.
Ok, your'e guinea pig #2. No offense:p Im trying to remember all this right now. Its been a while.
The concept is not that strange, but it seems there are a couple of things to consider. You are going for a Burn with Greed and Magical Thorns and you want to cause as much opponent drawing in 1 turn as possible so that they die before their turn comes around.
The Bistro Butcher and Gravity Bind seem counter-intuitive. I might replace BB with Hiro's Shadow Scout, which will cause a draw of 3 cards and discard any Spells. You also have MoP in there, so it seems that attacking isnt your goal; stalling is.
MJ2's effect doesnt "draw" so that should probably go. Cyber Jar doesnt cause a draw effect either, but it clears opposing attackers and gets you to your Greed/MT faster. MJ2 could possibly dump them in the grave. Thats not good *_*
Needle Worm, ... doesnt seem to fit. Its a discard, not draw, so Im a little iffy on its purpose to the whole in this deck.
Now, I tried NA and Spear Cretin in this kind of deck and didnt like them, personally. I found it better to have MoF and *especially* Mask of Darkness to retrieve Greed, Disturbance Strategy, GB, or Magical Thorns. But, with Card Destruction NAs are highly tempting.
You want to be able to pull your main damage inducers as fast as possible so that the rest of the deck (which supports the theme by causing drawing effects) will flow smoothly.
I found that using Dragged Down to the Grave worked well for me to speed up draws and discard possible threats from my opponent's hand. The trick with it is that you will want to keep your hand count as low as possible when you play DDtG. Preferrably with only a NA in your hand for them to discard.
i do like the idea of fiber and makiyura, as well as the 2 Serial Spell, though.
